It doesn't need to be revised, it needs to be dropped. Did they say anything to indicate why they think this needs to be addressed? ie was there any back and forth discussion, or did they just sit there and listen?
I also hated airing up the deuce duals. I had been making do with import truck tire gauges and inflators. I went to NAPA spent about $50 on a high quality made in USA gauge and inflator and it made a big difference. The inflator has a feature where you push it on and angle it to the side and...
It would be my guess that this is the response to loosing this battle:

It is also my guess that their thinking is that post 1968 MVs were exempted from many emission and...
Part of my thought process was that this would all be done before the convention and you would lock the thread before the convention was over. That way you could present an actual award at the convention. Most people wouldn't have the computer savvy to post their entry from the show anyway...
At $350 plus shipping, I to would like to hear from someone who has done this. Does it do any good? My windows roll up so poorly that I wonder if new weatherstripping will help any.
I had another idea: Start a thread where everyone who is entering a vehicle at the convention submits a post with a description of the vehicle and pictures or a link to a photo album or whatever he wants to. Then we could "thank" the one we like the most. Pick a time to lock the post and the...
I think the MVPA has the stock restoration covered. I like the idea of an online vote, but it might mean that you could not present the award at the show. The best I could do, assuming I manage to go, is to take pictures Friday and upload them Friday night. That wouldn't give people much time...
I think it was two 100 amp 24v alt for 200amp total @ 24v verses two 100 amp 12v alt for a total of 100 amps of 24v power in the other trucks. The orange wire conversion may cut the total output some also. The extra power was for the NBC filter kit which I have only seen in one truck on GL and...
Looks like they replaced the top 24v alt with a 12v. That might actually work out better than the stock set up. You will have to let us know and more details on how they did it, if it does work well. Looks like it cleaned up well. How are they running the spot lights, they look like 120 volt?
Mississippi doesn't have temp tags either. All you need is a signed bill of sale, which you won't get from GL at some sites unless you bring an extra copy yourself and ask them to sign it. There is nothing unsafe about driving a truck without a tag, but it is illegal to take a tag off...

It is common for the 24 volt power cable to be unhooked on these trucks by the time we get our hands on them. It is at the front passenger side above the fuel tank.
The Commercial Utility Cargo Vehicle or CUCV Program was instituted to provide the United States military with a cheaper vehicle to augment the purpose-built, but expensive, Gama Goats and Humvees then coming into service. It initially provided Dodge D Series and then Chevrolet C/Ks with several...
Bed are easy to change. I have bought two M35A2s with shop van bodies on them from GL with the data plates to prove it.
Parts walking off from lots is nothing new, it predates GL and probably goes back to the beginning of surplus. This new policy of watching you like a hawk and not giving...
I have one I can't seem to keep on the road. First it was a leaking wheel cylinder, then the turn light flasher, then pumping fuel in the oil. I don't have a lot of free time to work on it and it takes weeks to get the heavens aligned (time off to work on it, weather permitting to do it, part...
It depends on if the original poster really wants a gasser or not. A gasser is too rare to buy just for the axles. If all it really needs is a clutch, it might be worth it but I don't think it is a big bargain. If it needs a bunch of other stuff it is too high.
I watched a large number of nice S250s sell for an insane amount of money in GA a while back on GL. They all closed within one bid increment of each other. I think it was just before the bottom fell out on scrap prices. They still seem to be selling higher than they used to. It has been a...
Here is one I have bookmarked. There are a lot of mil radio sites. Perhaps a little move information on what you remember about the site or type of manuals they had would get more response.
