Not sure if you saw, they now have the 2.5's up on GL. I know the thread is worthless without photos, but I took about 100! Let me know which one you like and I will send you what I have and let you know my thoughts. A lot look real good... all but two run and it is obvious which one does not...
I have no idea, that is what I was told when I asked when they would be coming up on GL... maybe this will help some exporters of parts keep in bussiness a little longer :x
While getting a GL pickup, I was able to walk through the DRMO yard. All these are headed to Morocco. These were at Fort McCoy. half were troop/cargo trucks, rest were tractors (sorry, my model numbers knowledge is weak).
Follow on question, I saw on several dueces this weekend, tags that are on the bottom right of the drivers door frame, they only seem to have a date... doesn't say rebuilt... I will add a photo when I get my camera and computer in the same place.
It is a drill weekend, I have had a dozen guys who have been mobilized look at it and they all have said they have seen them like that as TRAINERS... it is for training, it is not armor.
You all are over thinking this. Some times they do not have enough up armoured Humvees so they mod some CUCV so they are the same width, lenght height and blind spots to train convoy driving on hardball roads.
That is all steel that is hollow. Look close at the side view and you can see there...
RE: Upcome Sparta McCoy 2.5
Hey, had to give oyu a taste. A lot of 2.5 with winch... I tried calling you to see if there was somthing special you would want to see, but you did not answer.
I stoped by and took a bunch of photos of 2.5's coming up next week. I promised I would not bid (at all) or share photos till next week. If you do see somthing you like let me know, I will see if I got good photos of it.
There are a lot of dueces coming up. Also, there are a lot of trailer...
Nothing? Tomorrow is the day... post somthing before 1200 central. I do have a request to ask what is coming up... I will do what I can. Mike is a nice guy, so I think he will tell me what he knows.
I have an engine that I need picked up in the next week or two at the GL location in Mechanicsburg . I know I have chated with a few of you... I finally got my EUC back, so if you are still willing to help... please let me know.
It is a CUCV engine in the container. I could not find my photo...
CGarbee... should have told me... i certainly would have made that work... rock island would have been at most two hours out of the way, more like one... let me know next time...
Following up on Citizensoldier's post, moving it from CGarbee's (Raliegh) any further North would be appreicated... to Ohio, IN, PA, IL... all of those would work. Again, thanks to CGarbee and Citizensoldier for their help, insight and willingness help.
Great news... I was traveling for business for a few days, and my new insurance card for the CUCV was waiting when I got home! Apparently I convinced them it was nothing special!
RE: Florida Rally
Someone took photos with film? How do you use the stuff on your teeth to take a photo?
I have to find a way to make it to one of these rallys. Said this on another string, wish I had a farm, ablity to mud when ever and shoot whenever.
