How do I tell the difference between 002 and 003? From what I can tell, all 002s have one exhaust port and 003 have two exhaust ports. I purchased what I thought was a 002 but now noticing the pics have two exhaust ports which seems like it's really an 003.
Thanks for the help.
I did the conversion as a preventitive measure. There were other electrical issues (I'm still working some out) so figured that I should do the conversion while I was elbow deep in soldering irons and shrink tubing.
It took some patience but I was be able to find the frame VIN. Not saying you didn't look hard, just saying it took me some time.
I found a post on another forum from a guy who worked on the assembley line at GM and said the VIN for these year vehicles was on the top of the frame, pass side...
Yeah, I've never seen this before on other vehicles or in the TM. I'm not sure what the bolt goes to but I need to get the rig going. The fuel tank was empty so I put some fuel in it and it didn't leak around the bolt so guess I'll figure it out later. I'll re-post when/if I pull the tank...
There is a bolt on the bottom of my fuel tank that looks like some sort of drain bolt. I've never seen this on other vehicles and wondering if others have the same type of configuration.
Thanks!
Thanks fellas. Went to Checkers, they didn't have the relay on the floor and the ever so helpful Asst. Mgr had no clue what a SPDT Bosch type relay was. So I told to look up an AC relay for 89 Jeep Cherokee and they had about a bunch in the back. The Asst. Mgr. looked at me in confusion and...
The 1009 I recently bought is missing the Gen 2 and voltmeter relays that are under the dash near the Glow Plug module. Are these relays the same part numbers? Does anyone have a part number for them? I don't have any to reference so any help is much appreciated!
If these are missing, would...
I'm a new 1009 owner also and have never had a diesel. Still working to get mine fired up but I found a ton of info on this site by just looking around at the posts. Two places I would start are the sticky FAQ in this forum and the CUCV wiki WIKI - Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite...
Thanks! No data plate on the door jamb. The glove box is the only place that had the full VIN. The frame has the last 6 digits of the VIN. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's good enough for the Vin Verification.
Hopefully, I don't have probs with VIN verification, SF97, Title, seized...
Thanks!
Hopefully, I don't have probs with VIN verification, SF97, Title, seized motor or a complete M1009 money pit........ Only time will tell with the last two :-D
I used this setup for 400 miles to recover a M1009. It worked great but noticed the 1009 seemed to 'walk' back and forth on the 1" bolt as the receiver tubes are larger than the lift hooks. I'm not sure if others had this issue but I would recommend using washers or some other filler to keep...
Well, I finally got EUC approved and towed the 1009 back to Colorado. Everything went fine with the recovery. I made a civy tow bar and it worked great. The only issue was the 1009 started to get a sway back and forth at about 60MPH so just took it easy and kept the speed at or below 55...
Ok, this is probably a noobie question but it's not clear to me and I want to make sure I have the correct info for the SF97.
What did you guys put on your SF97 for the Make, Model and Body Style for a M1009?
Should it be Chevrolet Blazer SUV?
