I think that the "gray" is just the red bleeding into the blue. Were the insides green on the USAF trucks? Does the truck have a 4 speed or 5 speed? I know I saw a 4 speed Multi once. Had the same shiftier. I think you have an A1 that was converted into an A2 by some lazy/bad mechanics or...
The deal with the shocks mounted on different sides is to reduce wheel hop. Not like you guys do burn outs or anything.
My Civy C20 had dual tanks and the 6 hose selector valve and cab mounted switch. I would search the junk yards or LMC Truck for parts. I never could get it to switch...
My civilian C20 had dual 20's and when I would run one dry, it would take 21-23 gals. Even using 23 gals I still only got at most 150 miles out of a tank....
6.5 MPGs make for fun road trips.

Steel Soldiers on FB is where its at. No one ever post on there though, unless there is an outage.
PA you do horrible work. Every time you do an upgrade there are problems.....
Nah Just kidding. Since you have started working on it things have been great. With out you we would be left...
Don't you also need a weight slip? I am still pushing(10 months later) for a tag for my concrete pump at work. No body seems to care if it has a tag or not, while I will pay the price when I get pulled over with it.
I would build a little rack down one side so you have a place to store more things, or throw a bed roll on and go camping! That would be great for those Four Wheeling Weekends
But if you change diff gears, your final drive ratio in each gear goes up rather its high or low tcase gear. I too vote for a better OD trans gear, or trans swap. The 925 goes fast enough, assuming yours does more than 40
