got my first deuce how bad did i get burned?

LOL, it's a good sign that the thing she's most upset about is that she didn't get to drive it! She'll get her chance. The repairs probably won't be all that bad. There's so danged much oil in there, it can look like a tanker ship dumped its whole load of oil on the ground, and your levels won't...

got my first deuce how bad did i get burned?

Hmm, any towing company that does commercial towing should be willing and able to tow your deuce. For something like a deuce, your first question when they answer the phone should be along the lines of "Hi, do you do commercial truck towing?". If they say no, then they're not equipped to help...

    RT-524 Radio Installation & Setup...

If everything's working and the cables are in good order, the antenna matching unit will automatically set itself to the right band. The knob on the bottom of the antenna matching unit only turns one way, and there's a ratcheting solenoid mechanism that steps it until it gets to the right band...

FNG considering an m35 purchase. What are the essentials?

If the steering wheel is too hard to turn, you're probably not cussing loudly enough! rofl

    Cut away aircraft engine pictures

Don't forget a transfer case to drive the steer axles, too! :driver: P.S.: Why did you choose the wimpy little 2,000 HP engine? ;) P.P.S: The littler ones (including the corn cob) are air-cooled. I'm not sure about the larger ones.

    Bed Size For S-250 Shelter

This drawing shows the S-250 shelter dimensions: http://www.gichner.us/s-250-G.pdf Here's another document with a different drawing, plus a pretty color picture: http://www.gichner.us/s-250.pdf What kind of truck are you thinking of mounting the shelter on?

    trailer with tracks?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but are the blue things in this picture dummy MICLIC rockets? I saw them at the Fontana MV boneyard trip, and wondered what they were.

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

Well, if they like hydraulic fluid, then that might explain why they chose my wrecker! It has the stuff all over the place after more than 40 years of leaks and spills.

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

I didn't get a chance to do more recon on Sunday evening, and now the dreaded work week has arrived, so I don't have anything new to report today. I bought a couple cans of spray foam sealant to try sealing up the entrance hole, but I haven't found any bee-specific products yet. I think my next...

    I want a shelter for a CUCV

RE: Re: I want a shelter for a CUCV The basic HMMWV-sized (and also CUCV-sized, I think) shelter is the S-250. It's T-shaped in cross section to allow for the wheel wells in the trucks it's meant to go in. You might not want that feature if it's not needed for your custom bed. I think there are...

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

Yeah, I may be able to use that caulking idea. My local Lowe's and Home Despot don't have any bee-specific products, but maybe I ought to go pick up a can of Great Stuff foam this afternoon. I wonder if it sticks to poisoned steel?

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

You may be on to something there! I'll drive back over there, put on my home-made bee suit, and do some more recon... I don't think either of those will punch through the frame rail to get to the bees. How about .50BMG API? rofl The humor is not lost on me, even though I'm the poor sap who...

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

Calling an exterminator may be my only option. The truck is not road-worthy, so driving it anywhere is not an option at this time. Anyway, I'd need to fully submerge the truck to get water up to where those wily bees have moved in! I don't think anything involving fire is a good option on my...

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

RE: bees I have no idea of what kind of bees they are. I assume they aren't killer bees, because they didn't swarm me when I attacked their hive. The brakes aren't working on this truck, either, so I think I really need to eliminate the bee problem before I do enough to the truck to make it...

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

Re: RE: Re: RE: Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker! I don't have power at my property yet, and my genset makes a knocky sound so I don't want to fire it up until I have a chance to take a peek inside its crankcase. :(

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

I have an unusual and annoying problem: A family of bees has decided to move in to my M543A2 wrecker. The front door to their hive is a hole where one of the mounting bolts passes through the wrecker body, right behind the center left wheels. To make matters worse, I have a flat tire right there...

    Watermark - Decision

RE: Re: RE: Watermark - Decision Mike, I did not get the impression that anybody thought your intentions were anything but good, so please don't feel offended or lose any sleep. Some people (including me) didn't agree with the decision itself, but I can say that I never felt any anger towards...
