I visited the "Mutt" factory last Week...

Is that a towable gun with a lunette that clamps to the barrel, so that the barrel can serve as the drawbar? Interesting... but don't forget to take off the lunette before firing!

    NEW FEATURE: Image Resizing

:ditto: Automatic resizing = Good. Mandatory watermarking = Bad. If the poster of a picture is concerned about their picture getting misused, let them add their own watermark.

    Hand pre-oiler update

Bjorn, is your hand-pumped pre-oiler intended to be a permanent part of the vehicle, or is it a temporary addition for reviving the engine from its long nap?

    NEW FEATURE: Image Resizing

Well, as long as we're all swapping our photos and drooling on our keyboards, here are a few more!

    NEW FEATURE: Image Resizing

Cool! Will it fit on an LCAC, because I want one of those, too! rofl Might as well "test" the new picture upload again... here's a picture I took of a truck delivering some junk when I was screening at GL a few years ago. I think the driver said it's a 7-ton truck, IIRC.

    5th wheel wrecker

Thanks for the additional pictures and explanation. I can see how those little clamp pieces would work, and tying down the front end with the chains makes sense, too. I'm looking forward to some more pictures once you figure out how it all works and lift something with it! :)

    horn button issues

The kit pictured above at the OD Iron site link would be the "old" kit. It has a big button that fills the whole center area of the steering wheel hub, with a rubber cover that goes over it. I see two or three of these kits on eBay at the moment, too. The "new" kit looks like this...

NEW 5 ton WRECKER FTV M1089A1

RE: fifth wheel wrecker I've never seen anything like that 5th wheel wrecker before. So neat! Does that 5th wheel wrecker need to connect to a PTO-driven hydraulic pump, or is there a hand pump hidden in there somewhere? From the looks of that, it's not meant to pivot at the 5th wheel like a...

    M38A1 Replacement Engine

Hi, and welcome to the forum! I haven't had to buy a Jeep engine yet (knocking on wood... my M38A1 isn't running reliably yet, but I haven't seen any signs of the engine being toast yet...) so I can't speak from experience, but I have noticed that Surplus City Jeep Parts advertises...

    Deuce matchmaking

So, anybody in the US wanna buy my deuce, and then sell me an Iltis for the same amount later... wink, wink, nudge, nudge? rofl

    Deuce matchmaking

Regarding the turbo sound, there are both "whistler" and "non-whistler" trucks, depending on which kind of turbo is on the engine. The whistlers have a very loud turbo whine (much louder than the turbo whine you might hear from typical commercial turbo diesels), while the non-whistlers don't...

M923A2 came home with me today!

Just hang tight. I didn't win the lottery last Wednesday, but I'm playing 10 bucks again tonight! ;) I'd take real good care of your truck, though it might grow a knuckleboom on its back...

    Wreckers New Toy

Ah, good ol' square tires! The bias ply tires on my HMMWV love to do that, too. First I'll bounce straight up and down, then after my first turn I'll bounce all over the place, and then they turn back into circles after about 5 or 10 miles. :)

    Look what followed ME home.
