I'm not sure you understand. My mileage initially INCREASED when I put the lift on. It stayed that way for several months. Now, my emissions have doubled, and my mileage has nearly halved. Something is amiss, and the lift has nothing to do with it.

I don't have an M1008 handy, but I'm gonna bet that the rear seat from an '09 is considerably narrower. IIRC, the rear seat in my 09 is ~46"

Bumping this thread, cause I have a similar issue. My M1009 went from ~20mpg to 11.5mpg over the last 3 tanks. Nothing has changed otherwise. I replaced the fuel and air filters and no change. Any suggestions on where to look next?

If you haven't bought one, you should. Every K5 I've ever had cracked at the steering box. It was one of the first things I added when I got my M1009.

I'm gonna have to try this. Mine steers too "easy". Very little resistance when I turn even with my 14" wide 33" tall super swamper boggers. It also wants to wander a bit at every rut in the road. Maybe I can do this and 'firm' up the steering a little.

Can't help you much, but I can tell you that pumping the "gas pedal" doesn't do anything for a diesel.

The upper bolts are metric- 10x1.5. Not sure if the lower bolt is the same.
