The manuals for these truck are the best in the MV world. They have top notch photos and drawings. You could
build a truck from a pile of parts using them.
I agree with Doghead. After working saturday to free up a sticking gas pedal, I took it to the station for diesel. As I was putting it in its parking
spot back home the pedal went to the floor. I almost had a heart attack. A steel brake line gave way on the front rear axel. What if this...
Bad metal from the start or from the hardening process? But if they were like that and passed the inspection process, are they usable today. Where is a good engine rebuilder when you need themaua
Yes Bruce you need to remove the radiator. The last one I removed took two days! I have to soak it with blaster and use a slide hammer. If you want to be somewhat through remove the welch plugs and use a coat hanger to loosen up the crud. Short of boiling out the block its the best you can do...
If its been at a trans shop for five years and they can't find parts, their worthless. Get your truck out of there. There's plenty of vendors selling m-37 parts as they are one of the most common MV's.

Did you replace the rubber pieces that fit on the bottom ends of the windshield frame? You may have to tweek the arms that hold the windshield to the cowl. Replacing the cowl sheet metal may be throwing the fit off. I'll look at mine tonight and see how close the fit is on the door glass.
Question. At preview will they let you start the trucks? I have a cable but it is the old style and I don't have the adapters, and I can't make there until thursday. My truck is too far away to grab the batteries.
Here's a picture of the bracket mounted on the passenger side cab wall. This is the correct mounting place and bracket. The picture is a little fuzzy because I had to blow it up. After a certain year(1955 I think) they were no longer included.
Damm your at it again! Your m37 work made me a 3 year project on mine. Now your at it again with the deuce. Can I at least finish my jeep project before I have to start on the dump?
