Eglin is not a breeze if you don't have a military ID. You have to have an appointment and get a pass at the gate. You have to be pre approved
Camp Shelby and Ft. Polk are much easier than Eglin AFB.
Your best bet would be a MEP-016D. I'm not planning on parting with mine, though.
I'm not planning on parting with the 30D36R, either, but would consider trading for a smaller Diesel set like yours in excellent condition.
I'll trade you for a 30D36R.
MEPs will generally do 1.5X their rated output for brief periods.
1.5 X 2kW is only 3kW.
3.6kW is pushing it. The 30D36R might do the job.
Will do. Are you, by chance, available to eyeball some DRMO stuff for us? It would be nice to have some eyes on location.
Either way, next time I recover something there maybe I can buy you dinner?
I don't like the 701As as much as the open frame 016D. In addition to the reasons above for liking the 016Ds, the ASK adds fans to repair and maintain and adds weight which makes it less portable. OTOH, though, the ASK is nice for weather protection. But, a 3kW gen doesn't need to weigh 532...
MEP-016D is my favorite. Yanmar powered and has a pull rope for manual starting. I would consider it two man portable although I can muscle mine around all by myself. Mine is my go-to unit when I need portable power somewhere remote. It has very good efficiency.
A Honda EU2000 is hard to...
A physical inspection and a meter across the output wires could determine the fitness of the unit. I was not aware of the history, only what I read in the classified post.
I would suspect if it got hot enough to burn the paint off the exterior then there would be visible damage to the interior.
Fuel and air is what a Diesel needs to run. Sounds like you have those.
Look into the safety devices like oil pressure switch.
Hold the shutdown solenoid in the run position and see if it will start. Be smart and know what you are doing so you can shut it down in a hurry, if you need to...
He has a SS ad. His price is fair. The problem is a 5kW 1800 RPM gen head is a rare thing. That is the crossover point where 1800 RPM is better than 3600 RPM. A motor to drive that head at 1800 will be heavy. The 002 is really the only good platform for that head, and it is large and heavy...
I like to try and be clear. If I am not positive I try to say so in case someone is depending on what I post.
All can be verified with the TMs but sometimes a simple explanation is much better than in depth study and enlightenment.
