While this would be nice, I would ALWAYS be on SS, even when I am supposed to be working. That could be bad.

For the guys and girls with belt issues M1008

You know if you go to autozone or napa, you can put the belt on and adjust it, and if it dose not fit go in and get the next size down. I always got the belt that was just big enough and that left enough adjustment for stretching, most of the time they dont get smaller[thumbzup]. Although I do...

    1985 M1008 Hybrid

I ran about 4000 RPMs at 65 or 70. Yeah thats a lot, but I red lined at 7000. Most likely your mileage will go up a few or stay the same. Not like the new cars where it gets 30 in town and 50 on the highway. I dont think you have the same engine I had, but mine ran like a raped ape. Got it...

    1985 M1008 Hybrid

I had a 350 in a 85 C20 with 4.10 and I only got 8-10 in town and maybe if I was really lucky 12 on the highway. In the winter time my mileage would drop to 6-8. 14-16 is wonderful with the 4.56s.

    Jim Beam Deuce

It looks like that axle might be centered between where the two would be. Looks cool, should have power coated the stack black though. And is that Elmo I spot under the rear axle?

    Replacements for soldier B

That reminds me of the stories my uncle tells of when he ran his own company. They would have a blow out on the trailer on 75. Unload the skid-steer, pick up the trailer with the skid-steer, change the tire with the air wrench, and load the skid-steer back up and off they went in under 10...

    Replacements for soldier B

Those are pretty cool. I know I have found my self in a spot where I could use a hand and no one is around. Being young and dumb I just figure out how I can just lift things usually resulting in a hurting back or something.

    I Didn't Know I Had a Block Heater

Ah I had a Summit Racing Tac I got out of a junk yard truck for $10. Worked good. I used double sided tape and put it right next to the A pillar. Thats the only pic I have of the inside of the truck. This was after it was wrecked and all the good stuff was removed. But you can see the mount...

    I Didn't Know I Had a Block Heater

The only reason I put in a new head unit was because one of the knobs broke on the stock unit. I left that in place and mounted it under the dash like a CB using existing holes because I did not want to cut up the dash either. I think that the stock speaker wiring was just tucked behind the...

    I Didn't Know I Had a Block Heater

I dont think it would matter, as long as it has the right connections on it. You would want to watch the gauge of wire though for the wattage. Should be grounded too. And do you have pics of the stereo install, I would like to see how you did it. Did you just run it like a factory install...

    I Didn't Know I Had a Block Heater

I would think you would need a plug that plugs into the heater to run to up front with a male end on it. After that plug her in overnight if your temps are supposed to get cold. I think they say less than freezing, but having a southern truck you may want to plug it in before that. I plug my...

help with starting without Starting fluid.

Also try checking your fuel pressure at different points. It should be 5-7 pounds correct?

help with starting without Starting fluid.

It will work just fine as a temp fix with out lighting it. I have done that a few times. But we need to find the route of the problem as to why it is not starting correctly.

help with starting without Starting fluid.

Dont light it though, unless you want to burn your truck to the ground. Sounds like you may have a fuel issue. Have you changed your filters?
