No app needed for my Blackberry Torch 9800. Everything works just fine except for chat, which is ok with me. I just need a bigger data plan to handle all the info on this site.
First off Welcome to SS!
Second, A2 all the way. Heat, HT,W/W, Drop-side, is the way to go if you can find one.
Its only user friendly if you know what your doing. Yes its easy to jump in and drive, but with manual steering, Large blind spots, slow speed, noise....I would be best if you...
I had a similar thing on my civy C20, and came to the conclusion it was the rear drums engaging. Only did it when I hit the brakes. I never did figure out how to fix it. My best guess was that the proportioning valve was sticking, or it had to do with the load level brake system. Never...
I will have to pull my Owners Manuel out, but maybe the Diesel Dash with the gauge cluster on it, might work. I know that one is a bit different. Thats just what I would do, keep it looking "stock." I like these, just not the white face with the rest of the Black faced gauges
Go find a civy truck with the premium gauge cluster and replace the dummies with that. I had them in my civy C20 and they were great, even comes with a clock.
Have you driven anything that big? Because if not, start with a Deuce. Size and weight should be a big factor in this. Do you have a place to park it? Place to work on it? I'm not trying to say you have not thought of this, just reminding you. Personally I would start with a deuce, and get...
Why so close on ceiling height? What about like a 20-30' ceiling? That way you have lots of room to work. Maybe even put some runners up top, so you can work from above or view "All of It." My burban dose not even fit in my garage when its empty. I can pull it in touch the wall and still...
I say find a truck you like, have someone in the area look it over, and buy. Then fly out, and drive it. You mileage will suck, you butt will hurt, and you may go poor, but it will be a once in a life time trip that you can tell the youngins.
Been covered a few times. But basically, you need to lube the speedo cable or replace the speedo gear. Is it a ticking that gets faster as you speed up? Dose your speedo needle "jump" up and down? If thats happening, thats your problem. Nothing to worry about though, it will be just fine if...
Watch shutting your doors. I broke about 7 driver door windows, even when I was not mad at something. I never had to replace my windshield, but I do now the ones with the antennas in them are pricey, if you want that.
Its not about being used to the engine, its about the noise and loosing your hearing. Trust me, wear protection. I have lost a lot of my hearing from driving around in a stright pipped truck. Should have worn protection.
Safety is key. But sometimes you guys take it a bit too far. If your with in the rated limits your fine. Take these pictures for example. That is my C20 on a trailer behind a K1500 Burban.
Burban=about 6000
Truck=time of accident, 4800
Trailer=3000
Total=13800
GVW Towed=14000
The picture...
