GL is moving the titles through their Eglin AFB location regardless of where you buy. I have
Florida titles on trucks from Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa and Indiana GL sites that came direct from GL processing.
Strosfla,
It is not a bad drive. Did it last weekend as part of a round trip from Tampa to Fort Lauderdale in the deuce moving my nephew. Easy way is take 595 to US 27 and go North then cut across Bermont Road toward Punta Gorda. You can not miss the sign on the North side of the road for...
Looks like fun, let me know about the next trip as I would like to go. If you want an extra set of hands when you start wrenching on the Pinz give me a shout. Always willing to turn a wrench and get dirty.
They have what looks like a 10 ton hauling water on the road construction project next to my house. Have to post some pictures of the old girl. She looks well used but is still earning her keep. Found out that my deuce will not fit at the bank drive through can only imagine trying with a 10 ton.
That is a great looking deuce. I plan on taking my 71 M35 back to a Viet Nam look one the shop van is done and have a question on the lights. Are the new style composite lights old enough to go that far back or will I need to swap out the turn signals for the older style?
I am working on an M353 trailer as a kitchen to tow behind my M109. I like the low deck height as it allows for a tall enough box to stand inside. Plans are for a metal frame work and sides that lift out from the bottom to provide shelter underneath while you cook and eat.
Michael,
Do not have a tow bar but have plenty of the other equipment used on the deuce and could loan it out. Send me a PM and we can chat about the recovery if you want. I have done four 1,000+ mile recoveries on deuces in the last two years.
May I ask where the 901 is headed? Spent three years in those things with the 1st I.D. and would love to show my son around one. Amazing what you can see at night with a good thermal scope.....
In Florida I am able to select a GVWR less then the total available for my deuce and it will make a difference in the annual registration fee. I do this so that I have no restrictions on my usage of the M35. The table shows the empty weight and the max highway load. Those two combined are the...
If one of the trucks breaks down I would ditch a trailer for a day or two and tow the truck home then go back for the trailer. Glad to see that GL is being helpful.
Now how about a summer get together here in Florida. I think six or eight deuces and five tons on Daytona Beach or Crescent Beach could get some attention. With the top off you could also drop the windshield and have it really open. Got to get my Shop Van out of the shop and on the road.
