I have a key cutting machine, blanks cost under fifty cents. Just sayin.
There are a bunch of keys on ebay usually. Most of the time they are under ten bucks.
Thanks, Wallew. I plan to get the socket, but there is not one here in this county. Bigger 6 points, but not this one. I sure don't mind acquiring the proper tools, my problem is finding them once I own them!
I started on the front bearings of my 1009, this is a great write up but I ran into this 6 prong spindle nut with a jack screw key instead of the 4 prong. I can't find a 6 prong tool so I am going with the hammer screwdriver method, it is working so far.
These have 4 lines. Fuel supply, return, siphon line to the bottom of the tank and vent to the fill line. The siphon line goes off to the side and is blocked off.
File this one under "what is the chance of this happening?"
Bought a M1009 a few weeks ago and just got the license plate today. License number 1009! I am very pleased.
The A3 tach is an electronic one, Dixson 49556. Nearly impossible to find but there are commercial equivalents around, esp for marine applications. It is fed off a magnetic sensor on the flywheel housing.
Any 24 volt marine or industrial tach that works off the flywheel will work...
