Two kinds of block heaters. One is a little coil that goes in place of a freeze plug, the other goes in a heater type hose and pumps hot water into the block, usually by convection.

Seems to work fine for me. Spare tire is another subject.

I had one do that once. You could actually take a VOM lead across the top and see the current flowing! Cleaned the top and it was fine.

If it is near grid power don't worry about the battery charging. Get a charger/monitor or two. When running you can plug them into the convenience outlet.

Thanks, Warwag. The sender is not working anyway, so the tank was coming off regardless. Tank is now off, looks bad so a new one is in order. Also new sender and fuel lines. One step at a time. :driver:

Best to find it before you break it down IMO. I fill it with air and "borrow" one of my wife's spray bottles. 1 teaspoon detergent, rest water and start at the valve core, next tire beads then tread. It is coming out somewhere. Once you find it mark it so you know where to work.
