RE: Emergency Relay Valve problems
Jason,
I saw an earlier post by you where you brought home some newer 105s and I was about to PM you to see if you had had the same experience. I guess you can't give me a picture of an undamaged valve, then.
Edit:
Looking at the photo that I posted above...
Advice: Be very careful when you take the nut off to clean up the threads on the lunette first.
I needed to borrow a lunette from one trailer to move my hulk that came without one. At 8:45 PM, 15 minutes before the storage yard locks down, I did notice that it got a little harder to turn when...
RE: Emergency Relay Valve problems
<- SUPER VALUABLE PIECE OF INFO.
I Googled "wasp excluder" and got all kinds of bulletins, etc. I am going back to the storage lot and look at the valve to see who manufactured it. I’ll bet there’s a source on parts and maybe whole assemblies.
RE: Emergency Relay Valve problems
What did the thing look like? Where can I get a replacement?
I will tape something over it for now just to keep bugs out, but I need to know what to tell the buyer. I don't feel like just sliding it by him, although it would be easy to do.
This looks like...
RE: Emergency Relay Valve problems
Kenny,
Thanks for the info. I went to the TM and looked at which hose was which and remember that the glad hand I opened up was the right (emergency) one, which explains why it had pressure with the brakes off. I didn’t mess with the other one.
I HAVE A...
RE: Emergency Relay Valve problems
I guess I could cover it with DUCT TAPE!! Can I get replacements? Is there any sort of equivelent in the civilian world?
While we're on the subject of M105 brakes how in the #$%# do they work? We were all prepared to release the brakes to haul them away...
What would 3 bows still in the factory wrapping be worth? These came extra with my M105A2. The other bows have 2 sets of holes to mount the top part on, so I think that they will fit either an M101 or an M105.
Emergency Relay Valve problems
I have a 1986 M105A2 and a 1990 M105A2 trailer. The Emergency Relay Valve does not look anything like the unit depicted in TM9-23300-213-14&P. There seems to be a part missing on each and another broken on the ’86.
I saw a broken part on the ’86 and went to...
RE: TM manuals, etc
Sorry, all that is gone, including the tailgate.
The taillight housings are there minus the guts from one and minus both lenses. The wiring from the tongue to the back is there; the pig tail to the vehicle is in bad shape and I am keeping it.
All the brake system except...
TM manuals, etc
Can anyone tell me how to search the TM manuals or what the numbers are for the M105A2? There's a lot of stuff I only know a little about.
I'm looking forward to putting it behind the deuce, but it will be a while. I can't afford the insurance on the deuce at the moment so...
Can you tell me what is the current requirements are for the Isspro gauge R3607TR? The spec's sheet should tell you. I didn't find any information on Isspro's web site.
If the voltage on the R3607TR can be regulated with a zener diode, it must be well below the 500 ma range. That technique...
The scrap 101 is going to be cut down and have 5 on 5 1/2 bolt wheels (old Jeep and Ford 4x4) put under it and become a super M100 for towing behind my buddy's '58 Jeep wagon. This is his fee for hauling the 2 non-towable trailers.
The M105 w/o the lunette is going to be lightened and have 8...
The dust has settled on the Great Trailer Recovery of October. It took 2 days and cost one wheel bearing on a tow vehicle, a ’78 Ford F150. The other tow vehicle, a ’69 Bronco veteran from the Ft. Riley to Denver trip, is having sympathy and is threatening to throw its left rear wheel bearing...
doghead, That shows it as clearly as need be. That sucker is realy welded together!
I can weld an end onto the 3x3 and put a 1 1/4 hole through it. I can either weld the bolt solid or cut a hole to access the head with a wrench. I can put a 3/8" spacer with a notch for the bar and bolt it...
We are hauling it 90 mi., but our flatbed trailer if full of other stuff including the bed from a salvaged M101A1 trailer. Ft. Carson GL has very limited hours, so we may have to take stuff off-post and park it ‘til we can go back for a second load. If we can do it easily and safely, it would...
doghead,
That is exactly what I needed to know! Thanks for taking the time to go and measure it. I wouldn't have guessed that it is 6" long and I would have show up with a short bolt. I was planning on going with 1" dia, 4" long.
Thanks.
