If you could prove that the bid was made in error you used to be able to get the sale canceled without paying the default fee. I don't know if the people here aren't trying hard enough or if GL has started playing hard ball. I am sure they will take it if you don't try to make your case.

And everything is still selling for a good price. They could probably up the buyers fee and the default fee to 100% and we would still keep on bidding.

Surepower made the original Duvac unit. Here is a link to the pdf of their current products. You would need the 100 amp unit and it retails for a lot of money, but it is the best solution. Search for M1010 and duvac and you will find other solutions.

I second the fuel gauge inaccuracy. You can barely count on the fuel gauge to tell you enough to keep from running out of fuel and then only after you have owned the truck a while and know what it means. I have one that would be running on fumes at 3/4 of a tank indicated on the gauge.

RE: GMC transmission questions the transmission may have had to be rebuilt to use ATF. Then you never know what has been done with these older trucks. One reason I moved on to stuff straight out of service. :)
