That is the power supply for a mil radio. You need to get some feedback from some mil radio people before you do anything with it. It might be worth its weight in gold to the right collector. Or like you say it might only be good for a couple of light bulbs. Just depends on what system it is for.
RE: Truck Inspection at Smyrna This Friday (5/2/08)
IF you have time would you look at mine. My EUC hasn't cleared so I won't be going tomorrow. event 3290 lot 4116. It should be the only van with winch there.
RE: Cannon catalogs
Thanks for the link. Your company has a way above average site. About the only criticism I have is not having a link to download the whole catalog in one file. I did order paper copies, but would like a pdf of the whole catalog. I guess I am a pdf pack rat.
M series wiring is standardized: Here is a link to the numbers:

27 should be Instruments feed
Don't know why it would be under the hood though. Hope this helps.
You would have to have one sure nuff dead battery to not light up the dash light, but if it was that far gone the answer is yes. Each alt dash light is isolated to its respective battery and alternator.
The last truck I got from GL had one hawker and one standard 6tl in it. It also had no alternator belt. When I put one on it was putting out 40 volts. Put two batteries we brought with us in and it was still putting out 40 volts. I was able to recharge the hawker but the other battery was...
It sounds like a m215, the dump version in the M135 line. Does it look like this?

Sounds like a bargain if everything is pretty much original. The dumps are pretty rare. Of course condition is everything.
Forgot to mention that low voltage is bad for the starter. Not the worst thing you can do to them, but bad none the less. Low voltage will make them overheat quicker if I remember correctly.
I would love to see some pictures of the install. Do you know if that is all of the instructions that you get? He has 4 pages posted on the above link. No mention of the condenser or its mounting.
I would say 3500 to 3900 is about what an extra clean, no parts missing, titled, running M1009 is worth. It is not to uncommon to get these form the military with the floor rusted out without much rust anywhere else. It comes from not removing the rubber floor mats like the MWO told them to...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: CDR valve from NAPA questions and other
CUCVs have different emission requirements than civi trucks. They got an exemption or a rating as heavy trucks or something like that. You might try the biggest civi application that you can find that had the 6.2 in it like a step...
RE: Duece + Shelter = Camper RV
It is nice to see a military one with that type of A/C on it, but I have always thought that would not be a good location if you did much off roading with the rig. The one I just bought has a piece of plywood were I think an A/C probably was. It is reinforced...
RE: Smyrna and Shipping Costs
Do you have an appt for 5/2/08? That means they have gotten off of the every other Friday schedule or does it? I expect my EUC to clear this week but I won't be able to just take off this Friday without a little planning.
I think I would make an appt to pick it up the first day both of you can be there. I wouldn't involve higher ups unless the local guy refuses. You will usually get an email at the end of the 14 days with a threat of the default fee if you don't get it in 7 more days. Besides, if they only do...
