I have bought CUCVs before and after the EUC thing on them. The change on cucvs was only recently. I have not been asked for an EUC to be filled out on the ones I bought before the change, ... yet. Papercu must be thinking about M35s, they have needed one for a long time. You can look up the...
The part number is 3996270 and the description is TERMINAL BOARD. It is found in FIGURE 65. ENGINE WIRING HARNESS in TM 9 2320 289 34P page 157. I have been calling it the 12 volt buss. I have never seen a NOS one but they probably do exist.
I would think a good cleaning would be all it needs.
RE: Re: How to count to 14...
Smyrna, Tn is every other Friday from 10 to 1. They don't seem to be as strict on the 14 day thing though. I think it is calender days from when you are invoiced. It should say on their site.
The short answer is I wouldn't count on it. If it is at an unmanned base that they don't want to go to very often, they might, but if it is at a busy location they will want it gone in 10 business days. You can usually get another week after that with promises to come as soon as you can.
On...
Someone said they were going on the 11 which means they will be there tomorrow if they are keeping with their ever other Friday schedule. Unfortunately, I don't expect my EUC to clear until next week which means I will be there May 9 if they continue the every other week thing. You would...
I didn't have any trouble installing the 109. My last quotes came from a powerstroke forum. CUCVs have enough slack in the wire to put about anything you want in there. The ST85 is also a starter relay and it looks like what the military used, so it might actually be the best choice.
As far...
I went back and edited my post today. I used a 109 relay that looks just like the 110 but is half the price. I didn't see any specs so it probably has smaller contacts inside.
The 109 and 110 relays will bolt up with the same holes as the original relay. They don't come with nuts on the...
RE: FAQ Thread for CUCV
I would rate this as the third most common problem, but probably the most expensive one if you don't know what to do when it happens.
CUCVs have an extra starter relay under the dash. It is known to either rust and not work making the truck not start or to stick in the...
RE: FAQ Thread for CUCV
CUCVs use metric bolts so you will need metric tools to work on them.
The main problems with CUCVs are charging issues and glow plug issues. The original glow plug relay was defective and should have been replaced before the truck left the service. If you have one that...
RE: FAQ Thread for CUCV
Do not buy AC13G glow plugs. They are obsolete.
I prefer AC60G which is what GM recommends for all civilian 6.2 and 6.5 engines.
RE: Can
I have noticed that some trucks on GL have the scoop below were most of them are, on the non movable panel. Seems like a good idea to me since my hose is old and not very flexible and collapses instead of bending when you close the panel. I was wondering if the same part would fit...
I was watching 4 late model M35A2's in MS. One closed at $2500 and it wasn't the worst one. The rest brought about $3800. One had the gage panel out so it might not even run.
I just unhook the ground on the front battery then charge one at a time with an automatic charger. If you have two 12 volt chargers you wouldn't have to unhook anything. If you don't unhook something you risk reverse charging the other battery if there is any voltage leakage.
I would just...
All of this is making me wonder what a 5 ton tractor would look like bobbed. I wonder what Farm Bureau would think about it. For those who missed it, Farm Bureau refuses to insure my new M818. They said it was on the "banned list".
