Well, we are still driling and tapping....but we think it will work....

Here are the pics of the problem.....we think we can drill and tap a couple of holes and bolt the cam gear back on... What do you guys think?

Well Nick, that about does it I guess, I'll be there with the towbar around 7ish, we'll drag her back here and.... drink some beer, stand around and look at it......etc, etc, etc.....:-P I was wondering if bad things would happen if the cam isn't turning but the crankshaft is....

Everything looks good on the front of the motor, the bottom end is intact, and it builds oil pressure. Not sure what is going on but the cam is not turning.

Ummm, the reason I know the cam is not turning is because none of the rocker arms are moving...

Screw it, lets just put another motor in it...... Or, you can call it quits, and give it to me..... ;)

Great, my secret is out now...... But after this last sale, there are no more trucks (according to Bruce) for quite awhile, if at all. :( Congrats on the recovery, I have driven 6 trucks home from that site, all without issue. Ed

I'll be there Wednesday morning bright and early..... Are you planning on driving your trucks out?, I don't think I'm going to mess with trying to drive mine, towbar!, but I will bring all my Deuce recovery goodies.....:)

What is the imperative to merge threads?, if it's just because they cover the same item or topic your going to be a busy webmaster.....

Tailshaft will have to be swapped out, hopefully the internals on your old 1009 tranny are still useable.
