sharing my hmmwv restore/ repurpose for civilian use

I like it. What did you have to do to get the seats to fit? How much were they? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

    Stuck Hummer

If it has no wings, USAF has no business using it. Get an Army or marine E-1 over there to fix it. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

    Stuck Hummer

Driver may not be able to since the suction of the mud and the branch across the driveline make it difficult to break free. Get another unit there, a winch point or a helicopter -- problem solved. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Anything that you would consider in great shape with stitching that holds and windows that are clear, not cracked, etc?

    How to pull-start a HMMWV...

No way we're going to post that here. Then thieves would know how to bypass the system. You'll just have to try it until you figure out the sweet spot. BTW, this works the SAME on all versions that are supplied with the cable lock.

M998 rear bumper with tire options

Peeps are getting whole HMMWVs for 7-10k. Spending 20% on spare tire seems expensive. Not excessive, just expensive. Sent from my GT-P5210 using Tapatalk

    Source for Soft Doors?

If you don't care about the fabric, someone should be able to ship door with shipping label slapped onto the door itself, sort of like they ship tires. That should save few bucks. Sent from my GT-P5210 using Tapatalk

M998 rear bumper with tire options

Guys, like most of yours, my M998 didn't come with a rear bumper nor a spare tire. I know that I can get a airlift bumper and rino tire carrier, but at a going rate of ~$1,500 for the set, that seems like a lot of coin for a piece of metal, few brackets and a modified load binder. I get that...

M998 soft doors - repair or replace?

Thanks all for the great responses and ideas. I will buy the HF awl and try few small repairs. Driver door has cracked window so that one will be easier to just replace. Passenger is hazed over and has the frame marks (from when it's folded down). I'm ordering Meguiar's G12310 PlastX Clear...

M998 soft doors - repair or replace?

Thanks. I Googled it just now for Albuquerque, but came up with nothing. I will call 2 jeep accessory shops we have in town and ask if they know of someone. I'll also call RV and boat places and see if that helps out. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

M998 soft doors - repair or replace?

Then it maybe my backwards state :-( I'll keep calling/searching. I called awning places thinking that they would have deep throat machines when stitching around tubular support. I also reached out to furniture upholstery shops (car seats, couches, etc.). Everyone charges $75/hr and everyone...

M998 soft doors - repair or replace?

I have green camo setup. 2 out of 4 doors need window replaced/repaired. All 4 doors need zipper stitching repaired. I'm getting local quotes of 1 to 1.5 hours per door (@ $75/hr) just for stitching and they're not really sure if the neck of sawing machine can even go over the 'frame'/gasket of...
