To answer your question.
Yes, this is for a box. I thought about shortening the lines and having it behind the transfer case, but my vertical space is very limited, so I am not sure I will get very good air flow.
I think I would have to fab the hard lines myself and that may get expensive...
Just to follow up….
I used:
A little degreaser and wax remover.
Two cans of adhesion promoter
3 cans of color spray.
I would be done, but then I found out I missed a tiny spot, so I needed another can.
Looks good though.

I doubt I would go through the trouble of drilling out a stock JIC fitting if the claim is that the cooler is not even required. I do want to get a larger hose if I can.
If anyone knew off hand the size of the fitting and hose, I could shop around and see what I can find. Does anyone know...
All,
I am looking to paint the interior of my cab with the same paint used on the exterior. The exterior was painted with Behr Marquee and is battleship gray.
The dash may be a different color, but I am generally sticking with the battleship gray and black theme.
I don’t want to bring in a...
Thanks Wes!
Do you happen to know the size of those hoses off the top of your head? I am looking at upsizing them a little since I am going almost twice as far back. I need to see if my local hydraulic shop can go larger on that size JIC fitting.

dbduchene welcome to the hobby.
As fuzzytoaster said, I bought my truck from him. I highly recommend getting a truck from him. If I every buy another MV, I will buy it from Fuzzytoaster no question! He has a love (or obsession) with these trucks and treats you like you are adopting one of...
That is always the debate. It only costs Time and Money. But then again, if you run out of one of those, you don’t finish and have nothing to show. I iterated for years and ended up deciding that simpler was better.
Good luck on your decision.

So, I need to relocate my transmission cooler. I am looking at putting it right behind my rear axle (where my frame has been extended). This will mean longer hoses.
I have a few questions:
Once I disconnect the line, I assume a bunch of oil will drain out. I can put a bucket to catch the oil...
Jean, I think everyone appreciates your interest and enthusiasm for these trucks, but you should really create your own thread with your questions. This thread is about the air conditioners. By mixing topics, it is considered bad form. Also, it can make these threads less useful for people...
Yeah, that is the same company as my second link…. Just a different link.
I bought from the first link…. Their floor mats are 1/2 thick. I am just using it for the side mats. My hump mat is still good.

Well, my memory was a little off. It looks like dbEngineering is cheaper. I am ok with the stuff I bought as it was not exactly available from both brands …… moral is…just shop around.

Damn straight….. just need the money. If I got rid of my truck I would have the money for the air conditioner. But then that would defeat the purpose.
I did run the copper lines and power when I built my shop. Just always have a project taking my money so never got around to adding AC.

I just ordered 6feet of floor mat…. Should be enough for both sides (not the hump) in black. Shipping was $30. I also had them send me some samples of the perforated vinyl foam sheets. I am looking at making a headliner and maybe door panels.
I will let everyone know how it turns out.

By the way…. The web site says a different temperature range than that on the can. The can says 45-75 degrees. The website says 70-90 degrees. I can do 70-90 outside. Maybe not the humidity.
