I plan on doing a diy composting toilet. I will try to find my post on that from EXPO.
I have never found anyone that knew how to use a composting toilet that did not love it compared to a black tank. The only ones I saw with issues were on YouTube and they obviously did not know how to use...
Nate,
I would do what you could to get at or under 13’ 6”…… you are limiting your options for road trips by going so big. Just my suggestion.

I did a search and only found this link:

I thought I would start a new thread only on body caulking products.
I plan to weld some sheet steel panels together and need to caulk between the welds.
What...
My friend came over to show me how it is done. Since this will be under the hood liner, I plan to leave and paint.
On the inside, I plan to paint, then JB weld fill, then paint, then cover with a seat.
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
Well, I can say qualitatively that the batteries have more juice. When I reconnected the cables, they sparked more than last time. Noticeably more.
I think I need a disconnect switch now or I will accidentally weld my lugs on next time I connect them.

I just installed a Noco Genius 5x2.
I have never had trouble starting my truck, so it surprised me when the Noco told me I only had 25% charge on my batteries.
Next time I start, I will have to pay attention to see if I notice a difference.

Thanks!!!!!
So the 12v is from the first bank to ground not across the other battery?
I must be overthinking things.

Anyone have an aftermarket battery disconnect that can disconnect both 12v and 24v at the same time? I have been doing a lot of work where I keep unscrewing the batteries and am interested in an easy solution. I could just buy two disconnects, but would rather have one.
Anyone ever see one...
My driver side had one loose in the cab wall behind the rear wall panel. The passenger side was missing.
They appear to mount in the wall of the door opening (covered when the door is closed). On the missing side, I would just have an opening, which probably needs to be covered so water does...
I thought all axles and transfer-case had air lockers on the Steyr. I only know of the 4x4 version... not sure if they have a 6x6.

I am interested in stocking some standard wire sizes for working on my truck.
Right now, I need to extend some rear end harnesses. Are there set standard gauge wires that should cover most of my day to day projects within my truck 1999 m1083A1 with 3126 serpentine engine? I do know roughly how...
well, my welder does not like welding thin metal. Took a bunch of tries. I plan to prime it, paint it, then seal it up with filler from here. It will be well hidden, so as long as it is sealed up, it should be fine.
