Little more detail needed. Are you using the resistor pack or just tapping 12V for the glow plugs? What kind of plugs did you install? (I bought some cheap ones from Advance Auto that lasted only a short time, cranking got harder and harder). But AECS pointed out other things to check...
The only luck I've had without a tuner in ham radio is when I'm using a 2m and 70cm antenna. Of course the units built for these bands tend to be a little more forgiving with SWR. When it comes to HF though, I've only had luck with fan dipoles when it comes to not needing a tuner. Course, you...
IP swaps on NA 6.2's and 6.5's are a breeze. Well relatively speaking. Want pain? Get into some more of the exotic diesels. My Jeep Liberty has a Italian made VM diesel engine in it. Even a timing belt (yes belt) is a total pain. I can do a 6.2 IP in an afternoon, easy.

Since the SEMTT is actually a M931. I'm still up in the air about the trailer I have for it. But if I end up not using a trailer/5th wheel setup. My plans are to convert it to a "short bed" setup like that.
I did not have the bracket. I made a plate to help disperse the load on the sheetmetal. But I do plan on getting under it and adding a rod to brace it. I did reuse the stock hanger as well.
Installed a new set of 60 glow plugs in the CUCV yesterday. The cheapo allied or whatever the parts store had wasn't working anymore. Didn't even test them, just into the trash they go!
