I wouldnt because of the already mentioned reasons.. But if I was .. I would consider a 4BT or 6BT Cummins.. .. You can build anything if you throw enough time and money at it.. Would it be worth it compared to the price of a M35A2 ready to go? I dont think so.. The old GMC's are getting harder...
Welcome! Where in France are you? My good friend here in Michigan is from France.. A small town called Auchae.. Not sure on the spelling... I will look up Bergerac..
I was trying to mount it the other way.. So you would switch the brackets when you hook it up to the truck? I see Midwest Military has a totally different type of mount that the tip slides into.
I was able to get all the valves and cable brackets hooked up with the help of you guys.. Now .. Show me them storage pictures for the exhaust pipe. Do you have to drill and tap a hole in the back or does the small bracket line up somehow? I cant figure it out.. Searched the g741 for pictures...
You the man Zak! Just what I needed.. Yep I never noticed until now but the crank case breather tube is plumbed different than the US 230's .. Thanks again.
Thanks Bill.. They dont tell you much do they? Anyone have pictures of there truck and motor with all this on it. I figured out most of it but still a couple questions.
Hi guys.. I obtained a fording kit for my M37 but no directions..:| Anybody have kit on there truck that can post some pictures of the valve arangement? And the bracket hook up on the back of the truck? Or maybe the instructions for the kit?
What type of diesel are you using? I have a 4Bt that will eventually go into a M37 but its down the list.. I do need some motor mounts for it if anyone has those..
My buddy Maxim is looking for a intake and exhaust manifold for a 251 if you have a extra you would sell. He is putting a 251 in a M37 dump project and it had the original set are the updraft style out of a combine. So if you had a good set he might be interested..
.. Tune in tomorrow for more...
Very nice guys! I would save all you can if you find them. Many good motors met there scrapper fate last year. They will never make them again so save them or give them to me. If you have one that will be sitting for some time I would fill it with trans fluid or oil to make the tear down easier...
Over the years of doing kitchen remodels my collection of tear outs grew.. Why not put them in the shop??:-D What good is a shop without cold beer, popcorn, and a Hungry Man TV dinner at your finger tips?? It started out as a wood shop but then OD fever hit.. Wood? What wood? I like iron!
If anybody is in KS or close you might want to pick up this rare bird. I have seen 3 for sale in 6 years.. I always wondered if I could shoehorn it in a Dodge truck..:-D
It on ebay if your interested.
