I sold a 5 ton winch to some friends of mine and it will be mounted on a tug boat using hydrolics to run it. This winch was off a 900 series so it has the coupler and hyrolic motor flange.. 1 1/4 shaft size is what he said. So far a civi size motor has not been found.
Do any of you have the...
Well guys while setting off to fab up some long awaited winch bumperettes for my Canadian M37 I learned that the drivers side is a 1 1/2 longer than the passenger side.. Never noticed this before and just wanted to share.. I almost made a booboo.. Thank goodness I measured both sides of my R2...
He tried posting on that site and has had no responses. Was it common practice to throw a jeep together after the war and then just tag it the year they did this? I will take my camera over and get some pictures to help with this. So I am trying the SS guys..lol..:-D
A friend on here has a WWII jeep. Here is what the main data plate says from what I can make out.
It is a Ford data plate and not brass
It has these numbers stamped in it.

11-5 48
It has another stamped alluminum plate on the middle of the dash
It is stamped

Just a word of caution.. If its been sitting for any amount of time bypass the fuel tank.. Use a boat motor tank with fresh fuel and tap into it just before the fuel pump.. She may have ran good but chances are if its been sitting you will suck crap into it and then she will run like crap...
From what you say it sounds worth it... Good tires? How does the motor sound? When you say original what does this mean? still 24 volt? Offer them 3k and see what they say..
They are not a easy plane to land or take off in with that type of landing gear.. Well .. on my IL2 Sturmovik Flight simulator game anyway! :-D This is cool..
I was able to see a earlier version ME109 fly here in Michigan two years ago.. Nothing else sounds like them..
Thank you for your service. Remember lock and load and always keep a fully loaded weapon. Give Hajji a 2' leed and squeeze.. Maybe drop us a line if you can so we know your ok..
I hope his EUC clears this week.. It is supposed to be warm on Tuesday so maybe some good driving weather on NDT= No Darn Traction tires...lol..
Did you happen to preview these trucks? Maybe he will chime in on which one it was.. I know it had a ripped soft top in the front..
His EUC has been sent to Battle Creek so it may clear this week also.. If thats the case we should meet you there.. Its his first deuce also so no hurry on anything. If the truck gives us problems could we stash it your place Armada? The truck looks ok only has a ripped top and we have a new one...
Hey Armada so your driving it back? To where? We did think of driving it back but with the weather it could be a bad trip.. But maybe do it the same day as you so if anybody has issues we could help eachother. His EUC clear?
A local friend from my town purchased a M35A2 in the last Michigan auction at Selfridge air base. He is new to the deuce and is looking to have it hauled. The weather could be bad and its not worth the hassle. Anybody get one from the same auction that needs it to go north? You could share...
It has the same amount of springs as my other A2's but they are thicker.. It also has re-enforcing ribs on the inside and outside of the box on all 4 corners along with a welded angle iron piece above it.. I assume this is for lifting strength. You will see many of the old ones with bent bottom...
Yours was next to mine.. The only other A2 still there from the bunch.. Its new also! Good purchase.. Oh.. Yours had new tires so I swapped them. Hope you dont mind.... JUst kidding..
