Got an update for youse guys, Joop Staman and I finally got on the same page. For some reason, my e-mail acct was directing his return e-mails to spam. BIG thanks to member 'Migginsbros" for helping with contact over seas on this. When I get parts, I will post the rebuild and, hopefully, the...
You could still use it like it is hooked up now if you used a relay switched with 24 to pull 12 from the second battery. Need a drawing?
Keep in mind that it isn't good to use 1 battery to supply a high amp draw device, but if it isn't used for hours on end, it will be fine.
Before electronics there was a way road speed was governed by use of an air actuated plunger on the pump, the pump had what was similar to a VS body, the same but not, it looked different, I can't recall the acronym. Take a pic of the pump
You should do what was posted in the above post too...
Yeah, now I remember, they fit but the N14 has more stem above the retainer and the x head rides on the retainer when installed on the NT. It's been a bit!
Last time I was involved in a K repair it was 700 a hole, just a cylinder kit. Good news is that you can one hole it, but pieces fly around inside worse than the 855, Aftercooler cores were upwards of 2500. But those were Cummins prices, real deal parts, no aftermarket crap. I do like the smoke...
Hey Wes, are you having heads rebuilt or new/exchange? I just thought of something. It has been a bit, but, IIRC, N14 valves are spaced the same as NT. If you could come up with a set of N14 cross heads, they should fit on the NT heads, but you would need to remove the cross head guide, and...
Are you checking the voltage at the switch or the bulb socket? For the turn signals, sounds like a turn signal assembly, BUT, grounds can cause stupid things, use a good DVOM and check component to chassis, chassis to body and body/chassis to battery ground. Less than 10 ohms is standard for a...
But your kit is missing the tensioners, they leak down and need attention often. They are a PITA to rebuild.
If the tensioners were there, i'd offer to buy them!
If there is a leak at the drain valve, pull it out and clean it, there is probably crap in it from the stuff in the can. It is a mechanical seal, no soft parts, so just open it and spray/blow it out. The leak will let the system bleed back and pull air. A volt meter is your friend for power and...
What everyone above has said. If you are taking the brakes all the way down, ALWAYS take those out, clean and re lube them. Anti seize is your friend. I made a tool to help with the funky adjuster but when I did the brakes on the V100, I messed it up, yes, because one was stuck very bad. Had to...
