Yes, 115% is fine for a few hours. I wouldn't want to run the unit 24 hours a day,7 days week.
I load test my units around 125% for a few hours to burn off all the excess wet stacking that has occurred over the years. Anything larger than the 803's or 1050 AMMPS is 3 phase only and if you try...
The three wire plug is for the fuel shut off solenoid on the aux pump. When using the aux pump, there is a float switch inside the fuel tank and when the tank is full, it sends a signal through those wires to the fuel solenoid to cut off the flow of fuel. Then when the fuel drops, it...
No you don't, it should fire right up because it didn't pull the fuel out of the lines in the injector pump, to the injectors. Even if you got air in the lines, it can just be cranked over to get the air out.
It shouldn't take that long to get started, one thing you may want to consider is the injectors or compression. Does it smoke a lot before it fires off?
If you can hear a change in your RPMs then your throttle (hertz) cable is working. If the hertz gauge is not reading, 99% of the time it's going to be the failure of the transducer and of course, you can only buy used, unless you want to spend mega bucks. A cheap solution is to buy a kill-a-watt...
I would try to rotate the reconnection switch a few dozen times to see if start getting readings. The load gauge receives it signal from a transformer and then goes to the reconnection switch, then to the gauge. I've had a few units that would read low on the load gauge and after rotating the...
Like everyone else said, don't take it apart. I take the side panel off so you can see the switch and soak it in WD40, then slightly tap on both ends of the switch, while trying to turn it. Patience is the key, sometimes takes about 30 minutes to break lose. After it moves, rotate it between all...

Peter from inovahightech makes the auto start board for these units and its awesome. Green mountain generators actually sells his boards. The board will auto start and then activate the lugs. I have a 002a that is for...
Yes, it can take a while to bleed the air in the fuel system. I just rebuilt an injector pump in a 002a and installed new injectors, it took about 20 minutes to bleed the air out by cranking (of course I would let the starter rest for a couple of minutes before each attempt). Also be careful...
When your starting the unit, you have to hold the switch to start after it is up and running. This bypasses the oil pressure and temperature switch which are safety features that shut the unit down. It usually won't stay running because the unit thinks there is no oil pressure. These generators...
I would be interested in the fuel tank if its not to rusted, fuel pumps, and the CVT/CVT1 transformers in the distribution box. How much for those items?
The short circuit is tripping due to an intense surge in amperage. It only takes a millisecond for the generator to sense the surge and it trips the short circuit fault. I've had this happen on large industrial motors connected to 803a's and I had to bypass the short circuit fault sensors to...
Now if your pumps are stuck, it was cause the suppressors to overheat and fail. I've seen this before. If I were you, I would take the bottom of the pump off and spray WD40 into it. Try also tapping on the pumps to get them unstuck.
