If they sell cheap then you could have it fixed at a starter shop. My starter guy told me he could build me a starter out of a large truck starter. The bolt patterns and nose deminsions are fairly standardized. Unfortunately in todays world freight is a big factor in cheap.
My 98 Chevy K30 Dually does the same thing. Reads 240 on the guage and the check guages light comes on. I have stoped by the Radiator shop three times and they put a thermometer in the radiator. Each time it read 180 degrees, so either the sender is bad or the guage.
Another Ga boy!!!! Welcome aboard!!! I agree with Kenny on the CUCV, just tow or haul. Some bases will not allow you to drive them out. Fort Jackson in SC is one. Someone bought a Duece and tried to drive it out. Did not check his brakes and ran into a building. Now everyone has to tow or haul...
You should be able to take the top radiator hose off and it should gush water when running. Take it loose at the tank and raise it up so water does not run out. It will have to be at operating temperture or the thermostat will have it blocked. Then again, if the thermostat is in backwards it...
I think there is a problem with the gaskets that come with the filters. These are the numbers I have of gaskets that will work.
Baldwin G-241 or G-107
Big A 97221 or 97406
Carquest 90406
John Deere M96T
NAPA 5221 or 5406...
Bjorn, I was thinking since he put in a new Radator and changed the water pump maybe he fixed the problem but created another one by installing the thermostst wrong.
Are you sure you got the thermostat in correctly?? They can be installed upside down or can in most applications. I have also heard of new thermostats being bad. If you pull it back out you could check it in boiling water to see if it is opening at the correct temperture.
Sounds like fuel filters. When my farm tractors do this you can shut them down and the filters settle back. They will then run for a short time until the filters clog again
when you get it sent in correctly be sure to watch its status on the gl site. It will tell you if received and if there is problems that need to be resolved as well as when it is sent to Battle Creek. I did not know this and almost let my time expire because of corrections that needed to be made.
No CDL needed. You should not have any problems tagging it unless someone in DMV wants to be difficult which can happen. Be real carefull how you answer thier questions. When I tagged my M151 jeep she asked color and I replied olive drab, her jaw dropped and she said "what", to which I...
The service side only has air when the petal is pushed. The farm truck I had trouble with got an obstruction over the return port and would not let fluid return. It happened on a trip and when the brakes locked I had to loosen a bleeder screw on any wheel to relive pressure. It worked fine...
