    Having issues removing hydraulic head

The only reason you need to align the red mark is the "Quill Shaft" has a cover on it with a "half moon" cut-out. This cut-out allows the Hydraulic Head plunger drive gear to come free from the Quill shaft. I've seen this cover "shift" , so even though the red mark is in the correct position the...

    Having issues removing hydraulic head

You did remove the "Fuel control" assembly right ? Then sometimes the "Quill Shaft Cover" can shift and catch the "plunger drive gear" . You will then have to pry out the hydraulic head. This will bend the cover, but you can bend it back once the head is off.

    alternators REO

Yeah, these early model alternators don't stand up well. Now the newer Delco replacement units can "take a licking and still keep on ticking" !

    My New Knuckle-Boom Deuce Thread.

Here's what I did with mine. Then after mounting the extra bumper I installed my winch behind them and used the support brackets to mount my Tow-Bar on.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Remove the sending unit from the fuel tank. It probably has a ton of corrosion on the sliding contact. Usually GM tank sending units only last ten years tops before acting up. I just replace them.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I bought the "King Pin Spring" eliminator kit too. Just haven't installed it yet. I think most of the "Death Wobbles" come from this defective part.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Now that is real nice and very clean looking !!! Did you make the plate yourself or did you have it made ? If you had it made, how much did they charge you and are they willing to make more ?

    M35A2 no throttle

You need to make sure the "plunger sleeve pin" is fitting in the "plunger sleeve slot" . See the attached picture.

    spicer 3053a top cover questions.

If you fill it to the top it will leak out the front shaft. There is no seal there. Fill it to the top of the fill plug only.

what cordless tool are you using to get your lug nuts off

The new Milwaukee High Torque is far superior to any tool out there. I own two of them and really like having the ability to bust free really stuck bolts up to 3/4" ! It can take off some of my Deuce lug nuts too. Really don't like using it for that since it really is not designed for that kind...

M35a2 Intake Manifold Bad Casting Or Rusted Out

The water manifold is aluminum so that is not rust. Just a bit of corrosion. If your really concerned you can take it off and sand-blast it. Then paint the inside with a good Aluminum primer and high gloss paint. There are several "freeze plugs" on this manifold. So this would be a good time to...

DIY camper box construction- what sizes/wall thickness steel or alu have you used?

The buses here use "Sikaflex" and rivets to hold on the aluminum panels. The stuff works great ! If the metal is clean, the bond you get is tremendous.

Bombardier MLVW , anyone know these beasts ?

Sad to say your right about that ! My best friend is planning to move to either Idaho or Montana. He say he cannot take all the crap laws and taxes from Seattle and this state in general. I totally agree but I have so much invested into this place (blood, sweat, and tears) that I just cannot...

    Steel Soldiers migration 12/9/19

Having that ability to look up old pictures and documents I had already up-loaded really saved time. Especially when helping someone who has the same old problems. Also many of those pictures I posted where the only ones I had, since my hard-drive crashed two years ago. Yes I know I should have...
