Yeah, you don't need to publish the entire thing if you don't want. The prefix is probably 1040, followed by 5 numbers?
And the USAF registration # is probably 87KXXXX, 88KXXXX or 89XXXX, isn't it?
This will help...
Welcome to the site. Nice looking truck.
I'd like to know what the VIN is-if it has 2 airpacks, then it's a 1987-1989 model. Pre-1987 (even USAF) trucks are single circuit systems.
Most people don't have a good idea of what a "good original" and a "perfect restoration" are.
A good example of a "good original" is something like this:

The absolute "bottom" of what...
Just like anything else with a one piece rear main seal.
Pull the trans, clutch and flywheel, remove the rear main, install the new.
Flywheel is heavy, you won't enjoy that part.
The flywheel bolt pattern is assymeterical, so mark the flywheel and crank. You'll thank me later.
Try and...
Assuming the sending unit in the 939 works like everything else, you need 24V at the gauge to energize it, but the sending unit functionality is measured in ohms. The TM will show the "range" of ohms for the gauge. Some vehicles are 0 ohms empty and 90 ohms full, so you can deduce 45 is 1/2...
The strange loop on the dash is the military's anti-theft system. A chain through it around the shifter. I can't remember if MD shifters are close enough to the dash for the padlock to go directly around the shifter.
Not bad.
Not sure if it's a USMC A1 but it does have the USMC rear lift rings and reinforced crossmember.
Here's some info: http://www.m38a1.com/models/models_usmc.htm
I'd like to know what the smaller dataplate is that's between the instrument cluster and the brass dataplate cluster.

I got confirmation from D-town this morning:
The official dates for the 2015 Ga. Rally are Oct. 7-11. This is the second weekend of October and continues our current trend.
Now, I need to explain some stuff.
First off, the idea that if I move the rally back a couple weeks that polar bears...
There are a lot of threads about M35A2 versus M35A3. A search for "M35A2 versus M35A3" is one good start. If you can't find them, let us know and I'll dig some of them up.
The basic gist is:
M35A2- really simple and parts are really cheap. Blow up an M35A2 transmission? Buy a takeout for a...
Who makes the "best" patch panels for the MB/GPW?
The musclecar hobby is different-for the most part, the quarter panels you get from YearOne are the same ones you'd get from National Parts Depot or Sherman or anybody else.
The Jeep hobby is only somewhat like that-obviously a lot of vendors...
e-brake assy? Like the entire setup, with drum and bellcrank and all?
We have new GI parking brake shoe sets (inners and outers) but none of the other stuff.
