No that is a stock heater mount. Just shifted it further back. Others have mounted their's on the firewall, I choose not to. I can access most maintenance items easily and was happy with keeping that room.
I also got my .222 ratio speedo adapter installed last weekend. Got the adapter from Big Mike's and also installed a new seal in the transfer case adapter end. That bad seal was letting transfer case oil seep into and through the adapter. This was creating an oil leak...or actually a drip from...
I had finally gotten my heater box cut down and installed a month or more ago. Haven't hooked it up yet or finished the interior hookup. The intake hose and the hose between heater and firewall elbow are installed. Hoping to get all my cooling system fitting installed tomorrow. Then will have my...
I got up there on Sunday for the day. Drove my deuce down. The show was great, weather was perfect. A lot of people walking around and tons of smiling kids seeing the trucks and vehicles!! Got the parts I needed to pick up and a few extras. My only regret is there was a vendor who had several...
I'm coming down Saturday around 12-12:30 in the afternoon. Was planning on bringing my deuce with me. Is there any place in particular to park the military vehicles? Or do we just park them in general parking? I will be leaving later that day and coming back on Sunday.
Looking forward to...
I had the same issue with mine last summer when I replaced all my master cylinder, airpack, brake lines and all my airlines. I ended up using a plumbing o-ring in place of the copper washer. It worked great. Best part is you don't have to crank the lid down as tight either. Then I added some...
I wasn't comfortable with mounting it on the firewall. This seemed like a good compromise. More clearance and space than the stock location especially with the smaller heater box. I can still reach things fairly easily and if it is a really large job...well 4 bolts and the heater is removed and...
Thanks, I'll keep you posted. Not sure if I'm going to rebuild the transfer case or not. I may just replace as many seals as possible and run it. I had a member contact me with a NOS trans that I'm going to grab.
Well I finally got my heater box that I modified a week or so ago mounted and installed in the engine compartment. I need to hook up the duct from the heater to the firewall elbow and source some longer intake flex hose to feed the heater box from the fresh air intake. After I'm sure that is all...
I plan on attending and bringing my deuce to the show. Anyone have a 5spd trans available that would be a good candidate for a rebuild? A transfer case? I'd like to pull my trans this summer, redo the rear main, new clutch and freshen it up. I thought about just rebuilding my trans but I found...
You can get replacement parts kits that gave all the pieces to hold your injector lines from Tnj murray. I bought a set at the Gilbert show this past september, think it was about 40.00 but it has all the brackets, bolts, isolation blocks.
Also, S.S. member Ford Mechanic has a thread about...
I haven't used his adapters but have a complete set of his brakelines on my m35. They are topnotch and everything installed as it should of. He knows his stuff and is a great guy to deal and work with.
Finally started to work on getting my heater installed. Sick of not driving the truck when it is in the teens and single digits...lol. Had a couple hours to start putting a few pieces on. I've seen different ways of installing the heater box, inside cab, on firewall, in stock location. I'm going...
Here are some pics so far. Yesterday I had a couple hours before the snow started. So I installed the fresh air intake and remove the heater knockout on firewall and installed the duct elbow. I had to move my brake remote reservoir and my flasher unit as both were installed in a fashion that...
