Thank you sir, got started on mine a bit yesterday. Nothing real extensive but got the outside air intake installed and had to move a few things so I could remove the firewall knockout and install the duct elbow that goes there. I was able to size up my heater mount. I'm going to use the normal...
After looking at your pics, this is what I was thinking of doing.
1. Feeding my coolant filter at the same location you did.
2. Putting my 3/4" kats 600 watt screw heater in the same location as you coolant filter return. I know there is a lot of discussion of the effectiveness of these...
Thank you very much Ruststud. This should help me out. I'm going to mount my heater box on the factory bracket but will shorten it down and move it closer to the firewall. Unfortunately my deuce has a lot of stuff that I would have to move in order to mount the heater box to the firewall. I'll...
Just wanted to see if any members in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York area would be interested in getting together for a Meet and Greet. Don't have any idea of a place or date yet as I'd see if anyone is interested.
Nothing special other than thinking of a casual get together to meet...
Mine starts the same way. Never needs to crank much at all. I let the fuel pump run a few seconds to pressurize the system and a quick bump of the button and she is running
Mine stays out doors all year long. Have no problems starting in the cold. I have started it as cold as 8-10 degrees outside with no issues. I let the intank pump run for about 10 seconds first to ensure the fuel system is pressurized then a quick bump of the start button and it fires right up.
Exactly the reason I purchased it. I had read threads from people saying that alone it was able to budge the lug nuts but with the torque multiplier it should have no problem. Glad to hear you ordered one. You won't be disappointed, they are nice units. The year on the sealing wrapper on mine...
Well got another toy today for the truck. Purchased this from SS member Suprman. I had been looking for one for a while and he has a bunch of these, brand spanking new, sealed and everything. Complete 1/2" roboimpact gun kit with torgue multiplier and such. Plan on putting this inside the cab...
Something to think about....since you have 3 guys going. I recovered my deuce from North Carolina and drove it only 400+ miles to Pennsylvania. Fortunately it was a trouble free venture and if your seller is honest and up front yours may be as well. To my point I had a friend go with me and he...
I too got one off of Ebay for about 150.00. I figured I nailed a lucky auction. I saw there was a SS member...or it may have been on a facebook forum made a bunch of NOS midland compressor for 200.00 each
You are absolutely correct here VPED. Most good hydraulic shops can make those hoses for you and match up the fittings, etc. Peashooter also has all the info, lengths, thread size, etc on his thread so any member can access and build their own lines if they choose to.
I get a bit of an injector knock when my truck is a little cold and I'm driving it and load it a bit. Only occurs under load and goes away as soon as engine is fully warmed up.
I purchased a complete new tow bar package from a SS member a few months ago and finally got it mounted. The mounting idea came from another SS member and I liked it and mimicked it. It came out good. Solidly mounted and have space to the right of the tow feet end to put a tool box with axle...
I agree with Rustystud. Get in touch with Peashooter. His lines are top notch and if you can give him the time to have them made and shipped to you he can do it. Well worth the wait.
