I've purchased tires from gov liquidators. They were 398/85/20 XZLs on 5 ton rims. They were brand new. Never used. Manufacture dates appear to be around 2008. In my experience...it is the way to go.
Mine is the same way Valence. I have often wondered if mine is pressurizing the crankcase as well. I have no real noticeable oil loss but do get some rear main seal seepage. SS member Cattlerepairman told me to check for smoke coming out of the oil filler cap when it is removed. Also told me to...
People don't often understand how much force is involved with an impact or how high the centrifugal force is in a roll. Between the impact and those forces and with shock on top of it what people will do...or try to do is very eye opening.
Glad to hear that you were unhurt and able to help...
Wow, great story!! I know your pain as I had the same thing happen in my deuce about 1.5 months ago. I was able release the brakes by cracking one of the wheel cylinders and drove it home using no brakes other than downshifting and the e brake....what an experience. Ended up replacing both the...
My seats were a mix of wood and fiberglass. The wood was completely rotted so I purchased some treated pine and ripped it to the correct width. got the wood at the local big box store. Then installed it all with new stainless bolts. Haven't had any issues and the wood took paint with no issues...
Okay, this is the first time I will of nominated my deuce for this.
I have a 1967 M35A2C. This pic is one of the most recent. Right after I finished the 3 color camo pattern. Will have to upload a pic with the cargo cover back in place.
Good to know. I just recently picked up a tow bar and was curious how they tow? If you need to keep someone in the drivers seat, etc? I have 395s on mine as well and it has the caster adjustment done on it. My truck when driving normally the steering wheel wants to return to center.
Valence,
I called them directly. By using their locations link, I called a local Motion industries office. Told them what I was looking for. He located it using the item number you had listed, # 04545182. He had to call their main warehouse to confirm it was in stock. He told me they had...
Thank you very much for the tips. Saw that in your previous post and plan on installing mine the same way to prevent an issue. Like you said...an extra doesn't hurt...hopefully will never have to replace it again as none of us know the lifespan of those seals. Sounds as though yours is doing...
I know this is an old thread. Just ordered a few of these seals from Motion industries. They are less than 5 bucks a piece. I order 3 to be safe in case I make a mistake on installation, etc.
Does anyone know if thread sealant is to be used on the adapter when re-assembling it? Or does it just...
You may want to consider building a pressure bleeder. You can then bleed the system and eliminate the risk of sucking air back in or over pumping the master cylinder. They are relatively cheap to build and will be an item you will use time and time again. There are many threads on how to...
This is correct. I recently got my lines, all of them, hard lines and flex lines from him. He told me that due to supplier reliability as well as his own time he could do it as long as I didn't need them yesterday. If you have the time and can give him the time you won't be disappointed. Drop...
I have a coolant heater, cab heater, and coolant filter kit...LOL....just need to get around to installing it all.
I will say though my truck seems to start with no issues. I have started it as cold as 10 degrees out with no so much as a hiccup.
