Im thinking it lost prime. If you stand on the drivers side tire looking over the injector pump, on the front back there is a small bolt. 9 or 10 mm if I remember. Loosen 2 turns no more it can fall out. Drivers side of the engine is the primer on the lift pump. Pump 100 times or till fuel is...
Not a good idea to run that unbalanced load. The mep006a can be converted to single phase. Some have had luck doing it some not so much. Alot of civ gens are switchable between one and three phase.
Its a 3 phase gen. You can use 2 legs and the load will be a bit unbalanced. Prob not the best idea. You would only have 40kw with the 2 legs. A civ single phase gen would be a better option or get a 3 phase welder.
It moves air alot faster than fans in an enclosure would provide. Not sure if the 006a's came with ask kits. It needs good open air flow at both ends. The newer TQ gens are much quieter. How much power draw do you need? The gen does not like to idle it wants to see a good load on it.
They are loud especially under load. You can add a good flowing muffler on top to quiet them down somewhat. Both ends are open for airflow when running so its still pretty loud though. Other than being loud they are good generators.

There is a thread somewhere with the part number. I can look at mine if you cant find the thread. I got my connector off an original mag mount amber rotating beacon. The amber het beacons use a different connector though.
Looks cool. I used the factory warning light wiring and made a bed light that plugs in at the back of the cab. Turns on with the dash warning light switch. Headlights have to be on for it to work though.
I had a starter die on me with my kids at Starbucks one day. Everyone was staring at me unmercifully beating the starter with a hammer and breaker bar in the parking lot till it started. Gotta have the breaker bar no room for a direct hammer whack.
I have never been able to repair a starter solenoid myself. All the local places by me won't touch anything 24 volt. Same with alternators. I would replace it. I have good used ones but I personally prefer a new one. It's a 2 man job you need that extra set of hands. The starter falls under Cat...
