Got the cab bedlined with Herculiner today. What do you guys think? It was pretty easy to apply, just need to take your time because it can be messy to work with. Will be doing the entire bed with it once I get that painted. Will let it cure till probably Thursday and then reinstall the center...
Hey Dan, I'm working on it....lol, talk about taking a big bite!! I just left a message with the place I ordered my canvas and foam from for my seats hopefully I'll have that by wend of the week. If all goes well by end of the weekend all I'll be waiting on will be my seats....kind of...
Thanks Mike!! She is coming along. There will be a lot of changes happening in the next week or so. Hopefully the cab will be all back together and fuel tank swapped out by the end of next weekend.
In spite of a rain delay and my compressor crapping out on me Saturday afternoon/evening I was able to finish prepping, priming, and painting my cab Sunday. Came out nice. I'm very happy with the color. Tomorrow am I will be bedlining the floor, side steps, and top of fenders. The center tunnel...
tcruwithme...B.I.G. huge thanks to you. The photos and explanation you did will be a tremendous help to me. Thanks again!! I too lack welding skills and like how you connected your heater to the diverter. System looks very clean and factory. Congrats on no leaks though with these trucks...how...
SLR, I was in the same spot as you as well as I was looking for the seals that seal the hardtop to the cab and go between the rear section of the hardtop and the roof. I found them at Eastern surplus. I was in there area and stopped in and they had them. I have an old one that seems in okay...
Being it started shortly after getting some fuel I would start there. Replace your fuel filters, maybe drain out your tank. Maybe you had some crap in bottom that got stirred up and sucked up. Maybe pull pump and make sure pick up screen is clean.
I'm not sure about a 151, but on my M35A2 the nuts were not tack welded and you have to squeeze your hand up into the cowl to get them. The passenger side was easy once the glove box was removed. The driver's side was the pain in the A$%!!
You guys have any more pics? Pics of how it looks with exchanger moved over, position of heater core, where you drilled through firewall? Brackets that hold it under dash. I purchased a nos heater kit for my M35A2 and want to install the heater system in the cab rather than out in the engine...
Nice truck!! The pics of your gauges look nice. Looks like then had been replaced/upgraded.
I did the por-15 tank sealing on my fuel tank. The kit came with cleaner, etcher, and sealer. The Kbs comes the same way. It is a long tedious process but the results I got were really nice. The cleaner...
Have a some parts of an M35A2 up for grabs if anyone can use them.
A windshield frame, has air wiper motors, one pane of glass has crack. I have an extra pane that isn't cracked, new seals for windows as well. Also an extra window frame. Needs refurbishing.
Set of west coast mirror brackets...
Started to strip my cab down yesterday. Here are some pics. I have the hood all sanded and wire wheeled ready for primer and paint. Will get that painted tomorrow and probably gets seats and console out. Doors are off and have to disassemble them, sand, paint and reassemble with new...
You should be able to clean that pretty easily but it is time consuming. I just cleaned my tank thoroughly and sealed it. I used stuff from Por-15. Was called Marine clean. I only used a gallon of cleaner, did 3 separate cleanings diluting the cleaner with hot water. Shake it around in the tank...
Got my windshield back together today. New windows and hardware. The new windows were a slight shade off on the green but close enough that it wasn't worth tearing them down to repaint them. Still waiting on the rest of my new seals for the whole cab plus still need to finish the back of the...
AGREED, but obligations can prevent some from making that distance give time restraints. A question to many members who travel long distances to a rally like this, do most drive their MV to the rally or fly in and just attend the rally?
