    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Things are really coming together now. Got my bed, troop seats and headboard, and my cargo cover bows all painted. Should be able to install those tonight. This weekend I hope to get the bed bedlined, fuel tank installed, cargo cover installed, and my driver and passenger seats finished and back...

    Fuel Injector Removal

Look up SS member FORD MECHANIC. I purchased my deuce from him and he had removed, cleaned and recalibrated all the injectors on my deuce. I believe he posted threads on how he did it.

    Another Fuel Tank Thread

I think the issue here is basically cleaning the tank. I've had great experience with it and would highly recommend looking up Marine Clean. It worked great in my tank. If you look at how dirty tanks can get in vehicles 10-15 years old it is no wonder our tanks are so dirty. Not to mention the...

Lack of communication with a SS member

Glad to hear it is all going to work out. Communication is the key in most situations.

    Another Fuel Tank Thread

Wow guys, mine was dirty with 'normal' residue. What causes the red slime? Where does it come from? Anyone know why it seems to be occurring in trucks coming out of that particular base?

    Another Fuel Tank Thread

I used the stuff Por-15 sold with their re seal kit. It was called Marine Clean, worked great. Mix with hot water. Slosh it around in the tank, let it sit and soak on all sides for a period of time, empty, rinse, repeat. They tell you to do it twice. I did it 3 for good measure, tank looked like...

    Another Fuel Tank Thread

I had my tank start seeping shortly after I started working on the truck. I bought a good used tank from a surplus supplier, Kublo's surplus and then cleaned and sealed the inside with Por-15 tank sealer and repainted it. Looks like new now, about $200.00 invested total. Here is the before and...

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Well it was pouring this morning so I wasn't able to get all my weather stripping done but I did have time to get my mirrors on. They went together good. No fitment issues. Weather looks good for Thursday morning so I should be able to get my weather stripping on my doors and hardtop opening then.

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Got my Winterization boots from Jatonka today. Had a 2 hour mid day break so I went home and installed them. They look and fit great. I love the smell of the oiled canvas.

    Deuce Door hinges

How hot would I have to get them? I don't have any welding equipment, maybe a propane torch....lol

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

I'm really happy with the color. Unfortunately I just realized I did a bone head move. I had air wipers and had purchased a NOS electric wiper kit. Just looked at it and installation requires removal of roof....DDDOOOHHHH!! I guess I'll do it when I swap the hardtop seal....lol

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

It is Rapco 34079 forest green. The truck had a 'bedliner' material of sorts when I purchased it. Some was chipping off so I removed most of it and freshened it up after painting it with Herculiner. I like the look as well. I'm hoping it will take the abuse of feet and spare the paint of that...

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Here are a few pics with the doors on. If you look at the one of the passenger side you can see how the door is a little crooked. I had posted this am about adjusting the hinges after searching TM's and past posts. I think I figured it out and it sits nice and square now. Just need to adjust the...

    Bonedoc's M35A2 modification thread

Alright....update time. Got quite a bit done this weekend on Sunday after everything dried out from Saturday's rain. Got my tunnel sections, hood, and engine sides on then was able to get my windshield, hardtop, and doors installed. I have to say the windshield was a pain to install. Took quite...

    Deuce Door hinges

Thanks for the info Rayzer. I saw your post and others. I thought about shims but I needed to make the door shift forward. I think shims would of moved it back further. I was able to shift the hinge enough to get an acceptable alignment. Think my next choice would be a BFH and a vise on the...

    Deuce Door hinges

Well I was out looking at the door again and I think I have it figured out. I was able to adjust and shift the top cab mounted hinge half inward about a 1/4" This made the door...though it closes stiffly it does now close and latch completely and looks square in the door opening. The window has...

    Deuce Door hinges

Good morning Everyone. Got most of my cab back together yesterday and will post pics today in my thread but had a quick question. Anyone know the best way to adjust hinges. I searched the TM's and some threads but could only find info on removing pins and refurbishing hinges. I replaced all my...
