    Towing a 5 ton behind a 5 ton

We have done a M931 towing a M923A2. We removed the drive shifts, hooked up air lines and lights, checked fluids in Axles. It towed very nice, but any hill like most MV's it slowed down. Just keep them at a safe speed and it should work just fine. Be sure to use safety chains!!!!!

Shifting a M939 Transfer case by hand

I picked up a take out M939 Transfer case and I am checking it out to make sure it all works, but I can not shift it in to neutral or low. It is in high and it turns fine. I guess my question is can you shift one by hand?

Hyd Valves on a M930, How they work with the front winch

Doghead, I found the p/n for the valves and they are not the same for the M929 and the M930. It looks like they took two of the valves and put them together to make a two spool valve. I just would like to get a Photo of one from a M930,A1,A2.

Fuel leak on the return line, M929

I think the tractors will have the same fuel lines. I looked at my M932A2 and it has a cut out for the lines in the plate. Guess I'm not the first one to have this problem.

Fuel leak on the return line, M929

My wife and I were headed to a Parade in Mesa, AZ this weekend. On the way to the Parade I started to run out of fuel in one tank so I switched to the right side tank. We had to stop at a car wash to wash the dust off from our dirt road and I noticed fuel all down the side of the fuel tank and...

Actuator, Air Fan Clutch for M923a1

You are over thinking this like I did before the little light came on. You just remove the stock fan actuator and put in a two wire elec. fan switch. Then you use the same hoses that went to the old actuator and hook them up to the solenoid. set it up for n/c. No new hoses to add. The solenoid...

Actuator, Air Fan Clutch for M923a1

I also put a manual switch in my cab to turn on the fan. Yes the solenoid needs to be a n/c one. But most of the truck ones will do both, you just have to move the vent. I do have the stock actuator if you need one, I'm going to switch over to all elec. ones in my trucks.

Actuator, Air Fan Clutch for M923a1

Yes you are right, the system has to vent the air when it turns off. I just went though this with my AC install. You have to use a solenoid that vents when it closes.
