I'm unlikely to use the Cordura and ballistic nylon myself. I can see that it may be preferred material for many uses on our MVs.
Are they materials that you have used Bulldogger? Do they work with adhesives? Could you make the axle boot to glue (a seam) on? Velcro?
Back to the soft...
That's unique! Do the gas springs go over center to hold it down when you had the string?
I wonder about an air cylinder? That would take air to open so might not be desired, although I think there would be a way to make it open manually and let the air out slow to close.
Use it if it's mechanically sound and not in your way. A PTO pump would not be big enough, I don't believe, unless you were willing to go slow. Somebody with one may have the pressure and flow info., I don't.
It would be an open center valve since it's a gear pump. is there more than one...
I sold an A3 to Minkus and the driver brought me a 50# bag of some great, sweet onions. I should have dried most, one can only eat soo much onion. Notice the duals in the back and the singles up front. I like that on the 6x6. I hope the one I sold him was a good one. We had in depth...
I missed the sale at the canvas store for 1.99/yard. Now it's 4.99 for the 12oz duck. I'm looking for alternatives but my guess is, the Cordura is really expensive. I'll look into it. I'm into cheap (but heavy).
I looked for the 21oz waterproof and found that it's really 15 oz when it is...
Short for "free backing". The (surge) brakes release when the trailer is pushed backward, where normally without such a thing, one would have to put the locking pin in prior to backing up (which these trailers are not equipped with normally). Some surge brakes have an electric solenoid lock...
Yea, I know about the freeback. But I don't have the hydraulic line replaced yet and brakes bled.... yet still want to move around and don't want it pushing on the master cylinder. Parts inside had suffered bending before i got the trailer. I have made all straight again and knew the line...
I think you will need a wheel like this, hub centered, for the 20" 395's.
Edit....I may be wrong about the hub pilot. I see the 915 has 5 ton combat wheels of singles on some pictures.
My M1101 didn't have any holes for a lock out bolt at all....so I drilled and put one in that stops the main shaft. There really is only one good spot to drill on the 1101 brake actuator that is apparent when it's apart.
Here is the start of mine for some ideas. The web of that channel is about 7/16" and outside will have aheavy angle welded to it and bolted to the side of the frame. The frame on this truck is getting a 3 x 11" x 1/4 x 10' plate before the springs are put on and reassembly starts, so the outer...
You don't need a trough, all you need is the one hole about 12" x 14" or so in the bed and a plate to cover it (nicely fit) when not in use. The trailer would be a square in a square and pin in place, so it would go up and clear the bed. You need a properly mounted hitch plate to the frame...
