Today I flush mounted a new rear camera (old one was sort of...temporarily mounted).
And I added a license plate light (required in most all states for on-road vics believe it or not).
All of this will of course come off to make room for the habitat at some point, but I must admit that having...
Who sells new ones?
Every once-in-a-whole someone tosses that out, but I've searched like mad. Only tip I have left that I've not called looks like another surplus site.
Yeah, his history shows that he sort of jumps from vehicle-to-vehicle asking questions. He even PM'ed me once asking for my number, but he never called. This thread followed soon after.

Being in S. Texas I haven't given the ether system much thought.
But it dawned on me, I've never seen the bottle location (assuming there isn't one currently mounted). I looked at the Operator Manual image but I'll have to pop the cab up to figure out where it is supposed to be.
So is it on...
Actually, it depends on the app. Remember, cell phones all have wi-fi. And you can set up a wireless wi-fi modem (whether or not it's connected to the Internet or cell service). So many two-way communication apps can still function in a wi-fi-only environment.
Given the number of devices...
We run PCI ICs/radios in my offroad cars. But as with the offerings from Rugged Radio, they are pricey. I will echo the suggestion of using an aviation intercom (often they can be had for half the cost of a name brand offroad intercom) as I have known several drivers who have used them for...
Yep, that is the wheel they've shown before.
And the old "we can't sell you one" always leads to "oh yeah, well here's how they make 'em".
Once you look at your hub and their wheel there really isn't much left to the imagination.
Sort of like the "custom seats and dash". I mean, come on...my...
I'd certainly fab local, but that does beg to question:
If there is a demand for it, certainly a knock-down kit could be made, sold, and shipped anywhere in the upper 48 for well below half of that (then welded up locally).
After all, it's really just a brush guard and does not necessarily...
Not seeing it in the TM.
I seem to recall someone telling me that the M1078 A0 air pump holds the tanks at 290 psi.
I want to get a hose to keep in the toolbox for various situations and I need to make sure it is suitable. I've found hoses ranging from 100-300 psi.
Thanks
I was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the alarm with a simple red light.
While the various tones might not translate over to visual well, it would still give you a clue something is afoot (or it could work quite well visually).
I've never pulled the buzzer, but now I want to go have a...
I guess you have to keep them in the stock pattern for the mil-spec guys, but if it were me I would rotate the labeling 90° to the left so it can be seen at a glance by the crew (not that most won't know by the position, but still if I redo anything on my truck I'm doing it better than mil-spec...
There was a 2008 BAE Systems M1078A1 in Cali that went for over $25k on GP.
I watched that live just shaking my head.
But yeah newer truck and location, location, location.
Still, after fees and taxes that's well over $30K. As niche as this market is, something like that isn't going to fetch...
Personally, I wouldn't mind the rally-truck "look" for an LMTV. Of course it becomes fake knowing full well the limitations on our trucks, but that doesn't make it an awful concept. I think the MULE build is a good example (sort of "rally look" to a display platform).
Like I used to say...
Well if it's just a poser rally truck build, you don't really need an extraordinarily talented fabricator.
You can just get a couple bolt-together rollbars from JC Whitney and screw them to the floor.
;p
