You bought a good looking truck. How is the steering with that large a tire? What size tires are on it, are they 15.5. I have an A3 that is becoming a 4x4 but not shortened, will probably go 395's.
Enjoy!
I have to agree with Wes on the dryers, Suprman has a good deal on them too. I'm about to put one on my 929.
In the meantime, while your waiting on a dryer, try putting some lube in the system. Take the line that goes to the unloader out of the top of the compressor and follow it to the...
I had GY AT2 14.00 and although they were 90% they were egg shaped and not stable when the road has twists and curves. And shake the truck a lot. The 14.00 were terrible compared to the 395's when loaded. I think the 14.00 has 9,700# rating while the 395 rating is 12,300#.
I had an 817...
Now that everyone has dissed the sprag, I had one in my 817 and after resetting the bearings on all three shafts, the TC worked great. I felt it pull when it was needed and never had to mess with it. However my TC was new in the truck and must not have been set up properly, which did require...
Welcome Bravotroop. I googled an M275A2. It comes up the semi tractor version. Maybe they converted it to a cargo. Since tractors are usually the shorter wheelbase, does it have a lot of bed sticking past the frame?
It's a good time to learn how to post up some pictures. If your in the...
Try a little diesel fuel and a brush. I've been using used synthetic motor oil as a tire conditioner. Put on liberally and wipe off. The really small cracks seem to swell just a bit so dirt and mud doesn't hold there.
My dump truck does it a lot (not CUCV but same symptom). I park with the rear higher and it does it less. I have to take the fuel line off the pump and use a cup to fill it (I replaced that line, it was cracked) sometimes.
If you have the #6 wire, you can span a long way with little drop (120v, 50a in,100' = -3.95v = 116v) If you don't have it yet, a 75*c wire in #8 would work too (113.7v).
See the spring....the spring pushes the contact bar away from the contacts. Springs deteriorate and contacts can weld themselves together, but his spring looks to be in good shape. He wasn't having a problem of not disconnecting the power, it was the engagement.
I too want to know as I have...
