    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

I saw there are some hydraulic surge brakes with electric backing lockouts that might work too. Reducing to hummer size tires on bolster rims and reducing the spring pack, maybe even mount shocks, with functioning brakes, would make a nice around town trailer. Behind a Jeep does not seem to...

Not worthless Tinstar.... make great components for other trailers.

    Tire/wheel options for M105a2

Sorry Chris, but the 105 is too much for your Jeep. You might handle it okay empty but with a load and no brakes, it will push you through an intersection. An 1101 would be another option with surge brake. Here is photo of my tongue mod for ball.

    Next Dutch salvage yard

Ohhh....I guess it's the 10 ton M123 tractor I was referring to. I like that.

    Next Dutch salvage yard

That M818 is really cool. I know the model looks good singled out but the look of the dual 14.00 is awesome. The big fold down goose neck is cool too. I'd like to have the geometry worked out to add a fold down ramp to a frame I have started as a low-boy (rgn) for excavator. M931A2 is high...

    Slave cable

BB88, The other end was in the trucks tool box. At the time I took the photo, I hadn't went out and retrieved it. Snow here and family Christmas fun, you know! The one in the truck has just enough wire hanging out, I was using it with my other set of jumpers that have clamps, clamping to the...

    Slave cable

I have a set of jumpers 25' that I made from heavy DC mining cable (pair in rubber cover, 2/0). The end clamps would crush a finger. If you can get them into position...they don't let go and it's no wimpy connection. I seem to be slower every time I use that jump set on my 931... I have a...

    Slave cable

That's a tig torch cover. Fleebay title: TIG Torch Cable Cover Cowboy Jacket. It was really hard to get fed through. At the bottom of the page another one comes up with a zipper that would make it easier. And I admit to some friends laughing at me last night for dying the blue denim to...

Cargo Bed Dump Conversion Hinge Designs

FBWT that came together really nice. Looks like your hauling and dumping quite a load. Boxing the frame has to help. I need low for my front end loader to get over too. Good job ....and safe hauling.

    M35A3 PTO drive pump

Here is the one I'm not using. Pump sold... but it's available on ebay... 17 gpm at 1000 pump speed (which is different than engine speed) My PTO with this flange is in the parts classified. And by the way...the PTO does turn the direction of the engine, but be careful because a pumps...

    M35A3 PTO drive pump

Found the pump for my M35A3 PTO. It's not too pretty and I have the wrong flange kit, but the price was right, I already had it. It's the control pump off a hydrostatic transmission, with a pressure compensator. The number on the tag seems to be the entire hydrostatic pump, so I have some...

    M35 torque rod inserts

Thought so but I haven't studied them. I'd love to see a cross section. Are the ones above "rounded" also a vulcanized rubber joint? Re use of the trailer axle link, my purpose is not an off road vehicle, it's to smooth ride on the road and adjust for a load on a 4x4. If I have enough, I'd...

    M35 torque rod inserts

We used to put torsion axles together by nitrogen freezing rubber in a triangle mold and then it would expand to fit the (square in square) space. I thought maybe a similar process was used in making these. Yes...it would be interesting to see one dissected for the inner components. I have...

    "Rescued" M816 Wrecker

Red, The wheels you broke studs on were the "Caman's", weren't they? Were they the dual type wheel? Do the Caman wheels, dual style, have a straight through hole? I have some 1"x 4" studs (that we put in 25,000# ag hubs) and am still wondering about dualing up. Thanks Toby

    M35 torque rod inserts

Would you use HDPE or maybe UHMW plastics for a bearing? I bet there is a molded part about the right size and shape.

    GL Lost Surplus Contract

You should look into the Grissom RAFB in north Indiana...easy in and easy out on a major highway and central location. Please do not locate it in secured area of active military base. That's what makes Grissom so attractive.

M1101/02 trailers: I need to change the wheels and need the exact size

Go down to reply 12 on this site: http://www.forestryforum.com/board/index.php?topic=57382.0 The bottom photo shows an M105A2 with bolster (M1061) 12.5 x 16.5" rims and tires. I don't know the height without measuring it Myself....I would reduce the spring pack by about 5 springs also...
