One (a 1083) in the classified says: "Plan was to make this into my expedition overlander with habitation box on back (a 6x6 RV), but realized that I don't have a lot of the expertise to make it economical for us." Utah is not too far.
That posted. So you have a standard budd 20" like the M105 has. Tire looks good.
The bolster wheel is 16.5". It's too late for me to snap a picture but look at (google images) the 12.5x 16.5" that is on the M1061 trailer or bolster trailer. I saw a wanted add that had a couple of reply's...
What dia rims and size tires do you have? There are bolster rims that are the 6 lug like a deuce and 16.5" but I think your talking smaller, like auto size 6 lug. Post a couple of pictures. Google images shows a lot of different sizes on a M101A2 (and I don't have one).
Amish make steel...
I notice that my seats have a more backward angle (I have 2 like the one in the 817 above), so with a spring base, it shouldn't be a problem. I guess the driver will have that angle change as well. Hmmmm
The OP may notice that feeling on his however.
There is supposed to be a way, but I could never accomplish it. It's not like a car auction on site...it's entirely on the computer. I've bought 16 of them and couldn't preview one (that I bought). Now few sales are in my area.
There are some people nearby some of the sale sites that for a...
Read the part again about buying from an individual and you surely ought to read some of the RV threads.
There are enough out there to find one that has most of the major issues identified by the owner.
I find it almost impossible to preview AND win the one (or several) that I want.
My M35A3 master cylinder access door is welded shut and tank is on the firewall... and it clears the seat base anyway. I'm making mod to my floor on the pass side at the tunnel to accommodate a PTO and pump, but I think that is mostly in front of the seat base.
I'll put up a parts wanted ad...
That's why he's gone....not to be unkind....there are 20 guys with HMMWV's to replace him that state by state get the on-road title pulled out from under them.... so the fun goes on.
So that is the picture of a standard M35 base and seat?? I can't tell the difference with the 939...must be a tad smaller. Are they available...just a base?
Chris, Is there a spring base made for the deuce besides what they used on the A3? I don't know if my A3 base will fit on the passenger side, now that you mention the access door. I have it out and could check, but darn it is getting cold.
I'd like to find the base of an A3 to replace the passenger box (in my M35A3). I have two new seats to go in just like the one pictured below. I haven't found a base just like the OEM drivers base, so now I'm leaning toward putting an air ride on the driver and moving the spring base to the...
rusty, look at 3" schedule 40. I think the schedule 80 is a bit heavy. You can probably handle a 14' piece and not have a joint to worry about. The 3" sch 40 and 2 1/2 sch 80 both weigh a bit over 7.5#/foot, but I think the larger dia will have better buckle strength. I couldn't find a chart...

"4 heaped scoops from the 977, should be right at 12 yards, 13-14 ton. Went down to 9 yard loads due to some gnarly hills and creek crossing, made about 20 one mile round trips all off road, low range. Truck and bed are holding up great, biggest problem is the drop sides so far."
