Kind of at a bump in the road.
What did the original Blinker lights that were here look like and where can I find them?
On my headlights, I have 3 wires, 17, 18 and 19 with female connectors.
On the harness side, I only have 17 and 18 and they are both female connectors...

I was fortunate enought to pick up this 1967 M715 recently:
I'll use this thread to document the restoration of "Dirty Gerty"
When I bought the teuck I was told it needs a wiring harness, which was in a box on the seat. It wasn't "just" a wiring harness... it was a brand new full...
My sweet lady @IRIS_Always have been looking for something for her and to teach the oldest boy to drive on.
We looked all over but our conversations kept coming back to the CUCVs and 1967 M715 at @Csm Davis place.
We went and looked at them last Sunday and decided we wanted to pull the...

Rebuilding the ETW1 off my 54 and I'm scared to death to mess something up. Does anyone have the rebuild procedure for it? I've got an exploded view and how to adjust the governor if needed, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with the procedure.
Ideally a video would be the best...
I've been looking for the 12' skeleton from Home Depot and they're always sold out.
For reference, this is how big the honking things are (this is a pic from the net just for scale):
An old friend of mine had one and offered it to me for what they paid for it, so I jumped at the chance...
I was perusing the forum and saw the remote start for a MEP set for sale and my brain started wondering "Has anyone rigged a remote start up to their truck, and if so, how?"
A buddy on the rig is a Ford guy and asked if I knew of any of the old Air Force F350 crew cabs.
I had never heard of such a creature, but he mentioned seeing one in the best Superman movie. (OG Christopher Reeves).
To quote the old Hee-Haw song, I've searched the world over, and the only...
Does anyone have pics of an AM-2060 mounted in a vehicle? Or have you mounted one?
I'm going to me mounting one soon and would like to know how difficcult it is.
Oh, and it's going in my M37, so if anyone knows what antenna, cable and mount I'll need, please let me know.
Difficulty- I'm a...
@fuzzytoaster has these kits for sale here on the site:
I realized that, with the MRAP light kit, I had all of the light I needed up front and on the sides, but had neglected the back of the truck. This kit fit the bill.
The only issue is he doesn't have the slave plug adapter for them...
Let me preface this post by saying this: I am in no way plugging a business nor individual for pay. Everything I'm talking about is a result of effort on my part, knowledge passed and money spent. There is no quid pro quo.
The reason I say that is I'm going to mention vendors here on the site...

My troop seats are fiberglass, but the forward section of the bed has wood and mine is severely rotted/dry/brittle. Does anyone know the original wood used to make these or the best hardwood for replacement? This will be a project when I get in next time.

I've had the idea since picking up my M37 to get a M1061 to haul it behind the 5 ton on camping trips etc so that when I set up camp, I would have a "grocery getter" (I like to camp a week at a time or better. I work 3 weeks on/off) so if I needed to go anywhere I wouldn't have to take...

I picked thos old girl up from @timntrucks today.
Super clean radio, came with the backpack, 2 antennas, (the short "blade" one and the folding 10') and one that looks like the old spout of an old oil can spout (if you're old enough to remember those):
(At least I **think** thats...

This trip in from offshore, I'm getting serious about the M37. Long story short, I want to remove a butt load of rust from all of the bolts, fenders and washers I have (pretty much 2 of every one as the ones from the donor truck were saved if possible).
My budget doesn't include 1k...
This weekend, @m715mike invited Bertha, me and the family to join him, @texas30cal , @Nitrodiver and @TAZZJR and their families and MVs to the Kilo 19 Memorial walk; an event to remember the men and woman who made the ultimate sacrifice.
It was a great time and I'm truly grateful to Mike...
Doing a last minute inspection of Bertha before I head offshore and found this today:
I found the appropriate section of the TM (many thanks to @m715mike for the direction to head):
The question I have for the 5 ton gurus:
Do I need to take off the tires? How difficult is it to press...
I drove my 5 ton to pick up my spare and on the way my brakes on the right rear axles kept "grabbing" to the point it would smoke my brakes. (I was only going three miles from the house and the shop is the first turn around).
Coming home, it did it a couple times in the first mile then stopped...
So, I bought an Eyecon MRAP light kit from @MilStuffMike65 and decided to install it on my M923A2 "Big Bertha"
After receiving it, I realized there is a sever lack of information on the installation of these kits on anything but MRAPS, so I figured I would document my installation on Big...
