    removing the steering wheel

It should eventually come off just like that, there shouldn't be any thing other than straight column on an m35. Now on an m151a2 there is a collar on the column that will bend a military wheel puller, a friend of mine did that until I pointed it out.;) I once had to cut apart an m37 wheel to...

Help with identifying these trucks please

They're not common at all because that's custom work. If the cummins swap was well done I'd be all over that truck (if the price was right), you could always convert it over to a extended cab later, big tires and a winch are easy to add.

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

I still need the winch pictured above picked up but I just got another one of the same size, it's a 2 ton Beebe Bros winch. Luckily the 2 section drum is still on the boat as that seems hard to find (but easy to make), most I've seen are just setup for one cable. On the LCVP the Starboard side...

Need a small winch picked up in Plainfield, CT

Thanks Rick! Another option is if anyone is passing through to the Boston area I'm sure my brother could take it from there. I'm in zero rush to get this, I just need it picked up from the seller at some point.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Just enough height to transfer an s250/g shelter from an m103 to an m105a2. We'll finally get some new belts installed this week as the truck needs to be back on the road for this weekend. :driver:

New to me m59 dump truck...

The reproduction top bracket for the passenger quarter fender is done, it's much better than I could make and the price was good. At some point I hope to get some real work done on the truck but winter is closing in.

    1954 Studabaker REO rear window

What year is your hardtop? Original to the truck? I've got a 1953 hardtop and the window seemed to be the same as the NOS ones from the 2000s, although I haven't measured them. I'll have to check that tomorrow.

    M101a2... brake...slam...skid...slam...skid

The part number is 1844-2. Not the cheapest nowadays. They're very straightforward to change, I'm sure another thread will tell you better than me typing it out. Just have to remove a few fasteners, not difficult at all. If you can grab the lunette and move it back and forth without any real...

    M101a2... brake...slam...skid...slam...skid

The shock absorber in the hitch is likely no good.

Looking for canvas transmission and transfer case shifter boots.

He's pretty busy this time of year, I'd try again or call him. I'm not aware of another source for them.

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

While back up at the former home of the boat I mentioned some of the parts that were missing to the owner's son, including the original horn. He said he saw a horn somewhere and there it was right on a shelf, so I'm pretty happy about that. Probably not the easiest piece to find, it's 24v too...

Need a small winch picked up in Plainfield, CT

Is there anyone close to Plainfield, CT that could pick up this tiny winch for me? It's not big at all, that's 1/2 cable on it. Just need to get it moved from where it's at, I'm in no rush to have it at all. It's in the eastern part of CT, not far from the RI border. UPDATE: I no longer...

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

I think that was one reason they made one. I'm sure years back they would have been all over a parts boat to rebuild, I'd be surprised if they'd want anything now that their boat is on display. Even though it's in "terrible" shape it was really neat to see, especially since it wasn't...

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

I believe it's a 1956 according to the serial number. The owner got it in the mid 80s and had it in the water for a year, so it's probably been sitting in that spot a while. I'm sure the New Orleans museum could have done a really great boat using all the metal and parts from one like this...

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

Some pics of the wooden LCVP I mentioned the other day. Needs some work! I don't believe this would stay together when hoisted or go down the road in one piece. I do have the opportunity to acquire it, and as much as I don't want to put the time and money into getting it out of there I...

1969 LCVP (Landing Craft, Vehicle, Personnel)

Yes at this point it's very likely that the number on the side is original and it's off the Boulder. Here are a couple close ups from the two pics I posted near the top of this page. The first looks like it's #2 to me, and the paint looks the same as mine. The second picture is also #2...

Help with identifying these trucks please

Being a 62 and 63 would mean they predate the a2 series, although like many they could be upgraded to a2 specs. Both data tags are obviously changed so who knows if the info is correct. Having all those parts from Memphis on one of them I wouldn't be surprised if it had a civilian engine...

Help with identifying these trucks please

They are some variant of m35 series trucks. The REB kit is aftermarket as is the windshield on the first truck.
