    Is this a rifle mount?

No it's not a rifle mount. Usually the fire extinguisher goes there. Rifle holders should be behind the seat on the sides, if you've got a pickup.

New to me m59 dump truck...

My replacement data tag from dataplates.net showed up today, it looks good to me! Total time from when I first asked about it to when it arrived was 6 business days, very fast considering all the plate information is different for an m59 and I live on the other side of the country from the...

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

Yes, ever since I bought a plow truck in 2015 the above pic is what winter is like up here. It's nice.:-D Temps will be in the low 40s in a couple days so what little snow we have will probably be gone.

    The VTCS m756a2 Pipeline Truck

A few recent cold weather shots of the pipeline truck. Also an old pic of the yard. The center truck in the lineup is the m756a2. I'm not sure the date the picture was taken but I'm guessing sometime around 1996-1997. I know it's the pipeline truck because there's a better picture of it in...

New to me m59 dump truck...

Yeah it's just sheet metal over wood, it could probably use a little organizing here and there.:) I'm really lucky that the multifuel tank is as nice it is, I couldn't believe they smashed the driver's fender that bad but didn't dent the tank at all! I hated to use it as a parts rig too, but...

New to me m59 dump truck...

I bent up a couple of the spare tire holder bolts, I'll just need to get some info on the standoffs that thread the holder closed and I'll make something similar. While painting some other stuff I threw some paint on the back of the new fuel tank, I'm planning on taking the fuel lines out of...

hmmwv milemarker 10500 lb winch cable replacement... 500 pound tension?

Hook your HMMWV to something. Winch yourself to said something while applying brake pressure and call it a day. Also pick up a copy of the military TM for Vehicle Recovery/Rigging, lots of great info.

GP Spray Painting info on equipment getting out of control.

A quick look through the auctions shows 22 other items at the same location as the CUCVs. None have spray paint. I guess GP just had it out for those 2 CUCVs, and wanted to drastically lower the value of them.

GP Spray Painting info on equipment getting out of control.

On the CUCVs I see the serial numbers painted on the bedside, I didn't notice any proof that govplanet painted them. As far as I see govplanet can do what they want with their stuff, if it brings less money due to their painting then maybe they'll refrain from ruining paintjobs. At least it's...

    Hood latch failure.

The a3s I've seen have those rubber hood hold downs, not the steel ones that worked for decades.

I figured it would too, but was glad Reo slacked on the details. I know other trucks like the Pipeline trucks have a different diagram.

New to me m59 dump truck...

Except the original Reo m59 tags have a picture of a cargo, not a dump. Which worked out good for me.8-) Do the Studebaker tags have a dump truck pictured?

New to me m59 dump truck...

I've got the tractor tank all washed out, it's actually pretty clean inside. I changed out the in-tank pump for a known good one and replaced the sending unit so it should be set to install in the truck whenever I get around to it. The long tanks for the short wheelbase trucks are an inch...

New to me m59 dump truck...

Using the information off Mackafd's original data tag I made a decent digital copy of what I think my data tag looked like. I started with a scan of an m35a2 tag I had and edited all the info to match the m59. My serial number is 1307xx so from other trucks I've seen that would make it a 1954.

New to me m59 dump truck...

If I remember right the exhaust was pretty rotten and only good for a pattern. I do think I've got one of the rearmost pipes in good shape, maybe a couple. The motor is seized up and had some kind of problems but if any parts would be of use to you I'd sell them as I'm not going to need them...

New 6x6 owner in central Kansas

That is not a factory pipeline truck. Like I stated in his other thread my guess is it's a heavily hacked up v-17. More pictures or the dataplate would help tell the story. Welcome from VT! (again)
