I installed the Doghead relay in the 1028, and changed out a faulty headlight dimmer switch on the column. Also since it has a jerry can holder on each side of the bed near the tailgate you could not fold down the back 2 troop seats, so I changed out the legs on those for the shorter size ones.
The trailer looks a lot better with the right hitch and landing gear. Like I said in your other thread, its an m101 not an m101a1. I see no evidence of the trailer receptacle near the brake handles, so it may be a later m101. It is pre 1962 for sure.
Your probably thinking of the GMC series deuces of the same era (they had front loaders with the rounded sheet metal). The ord number for the compressor belt is 7539352, I am not sure of a civi counterpart. I've got one for a gasser around, I will look and see if it has a number on it.

The handbrake style indicates that it is an m101 trailer. Early m101 trailers had an electrical receptacle between the handbrakes for a separate intervehicular cable, while later m101 trailers had the intervehicular cable attached through a junction box on the drivers side of the drawbar like...
I've got this on my CUCV II Tahoe. I was hoping it would help people realize its not just a civilian truck painted green but an actual military vehicle. Turns out it doesn't, and everyone hates it.
If you look at your picture of the m101a2, you can see it has the one piece landing leg. m416s have a "2 piece" landing leg (the landing leg swivel bolts to the landing leg). The older m101a1 trailers also had a two piece landing leg. The landing leg swivel is different, but the leg will bolt...
The whole assembly is different, however the lunette, shock absorber, and master cylinder are the same. The landing leg is different and will not work without some modification.
