Take the oil fill pipe off, reach through that hole with a socket to get the three bolts out, rotate the engine by hand to get them as they appear in the hole. Be careful not to drop them as then you will have to take the whole front apart. Look in the tm here on line to see the injector...
Gas generators are rated at alot less amps because they don't have the torque necessary. My 8kw Isuzu diesel generator is rated at 62A @120v. A military 10k is more than enough to run a house.

If your just testing them hold off untill you are sure that's the one you are going to use then some sealer I think would be fine, however if you have gasket material that would be better.
The pump needs to turn at engine idle rpm to test it, it should have 24 inches of vacuum at idle. There is only one bolt holding it in, no big deal to swap them out.
