I have bought 4 sets from the ebay seller INDUSA and they are first rate.

The gear reduction type starter uses a different support bracket, don't forget to replace it as well or you run the risk of a cracked block or starter damage.

I don't believe the timing would effect the fuel delivery rate. It does need to be set correctly though.

There is a witness mark at the top of the pump where it bolts to the engine, and a witness mark on the mating engine surface, you line them up then tighten down the three bolts, this sets your timing. As far as any fuel settings, that is factory set/calibrated.

The TM's for that set have not been approved for public release yet, you will have to find a copy "floating" around.

The manual for it should be here in the resource section, should make a nice genset and you did well on the price.

It is a crankcase vent, they get plugged and engine performance suffers. GM no longer offers them for sale. I shipped all orders received via paypal today priority mail.

I swapped mine out several years ago to 3:73 using stock tires it was perfect. It was pricy though, around $700 for all new stuff in the rear, the front I found used. Stock I only drive mine at 50mph, otherwise I think the engine won't last long.
