So what you are saying is you put 85% alcohol in your fuel? Make SURE you flush all of that out, up to and INCLUDING the injectors. Pull the glow plugs and after bleeding good fuel all the way to the pump crank it in 10 second spurts until you have clean fuel coming out of the return line. Then...
That balancer is not bad, they all look like that after a few years. When the rubber swells and push out of the recess that is when it is time. Doing it ahead of time as you did is insurance though so no harm done.

As long as the military light switch is in the right position then it could be a headlight switch. Check your high beam switch, that is another problem area. Do the turn signals work? If not then look under the dash near the bottom of the steering column and see if the wire harness has been...
The usuall failure is the rubber ring, it will degrade and allow the outer metal balancer to move in relation to the inner therfore changing the balance point. This is usually an age thinge and not really a defect. In your case I think there was more going on there. I would guess that at some...
Might as well let this one die. The OP did not get the answers or support that he was looking for and has not returned. I was on the other side of the fence for two long years, I had the loud, obnoxious neighbors that partied all night and went out of their way to antagonize me. Believe me, it...
If you read the Assn. rules you might find that you will be homeless if you push it. And be careful with that geriatric title! Not all of us are youngsters. Remember that a lot of those "geriatrics" fought for your right to be obnoxious.

I will take ONE set of gears for 300.00! Oh, I think that is what you meant. As was said you have to do both ends. A built 700R4 is every bit as strong as a 400. The rebuild kits for a 700R4 are fairly cheap also.

Doghead, I did a little searching and found this.
Cemetery Etiquette - IACP, Inc.
It makes no mention of hats so maybe I was told wrong................
I will still remove my hat. Just who I am.

Looks like a fantastic time. The one thing I see, I was always told to remove my hat, cover, helmet when in a cemetery as a sign of respect. Still do and always will.

As Carl said, Mine don't open for close to 20 minutes and then only a hair. If the starter is clicking then power is getting to it but it is not going through the contacts in the solenoid or the brushes are worn in the starter. If I remember correctly you have done some serious cranking on this...
There is a guy up your way I traded a bunch of radio stuff to , his name is Brown Beezer. Yes that is his real name. I have not heard from him for a couple of years but do a google search for the name.

That is some of the best advise ever. Go through it several times in your mind until you are comfortable with it. That goes for any project automotive or otherwise.

Your points about cut, paste generic info is valid, I would not have thought to do that. Yes I would be pissed if the price went up because of the post although anyone looking for that item has most likely already seen it on G/L. Your smart assed answers to my questions are the main reason I...
Question here, How would I know if the piece of equipment I am looking at has that particular engine in it unless I ask? Most people are not going to be interested in a 400 hz. generator for anything but the engine. You notice it is not I that asked about the genset but I do think it is a viable...
If you are going to try to weld the vise you will need some serous preheat. The whole area you are going to weld will need to be heated up to around 500 degrees.
