I replaced all but two steel lines in mine, I used the 1/4" armored ones from NAPA already cut to length and flared with fittings. In retrospect the armored lines probably just trap moisture and debris making them rust faster, but they matched what was already there.
That said, it was a PITA...
I didn't believe it until I read the bid history of the Ebay Winner. Its either legit or we've got a cross dresser within the ranks.

They got me a quote for for 9x20s factory new. I haven't bought any, but they could get them factory fresh.
If you look on the lower left/right sides there's insert holes for plow shoes that help the blade ride above the ground. Not so much an issue for wearing down the blade, but when the ground isn't frozen it helps prevent rolling up gravel or the edge of a lawn.
Removing the shoes won't always...
Depends on what your needs are. But if you haven't seen it, you'd be surprised how quickly an air sander, grinder, or small sand blaster can deplete an 80 gallon tank at 175psi. For continuous use you really need a two stage compressor and the bigger the tank the better.
I've got this one...
I recently combined my home insurance, 93 Yukon, 04 Jeep TJ, and wife's 02 Saab policies under State Farm. The insurance discounts for combining the policies almost covers the $320/yr policy for the deuce.
Note, the deuce policy is written up as a separate commercial policy so having it itself...
I'm almost ashamed to say it, but I learned you need to dig the wheel chocks out before driving in the snow... aua
But that didn't stop me from getting it out in forward gear. :-D
Sorry, I don't know anything about military diesel heaters, but diesel is road taxed fuel. Use #2 Home Heating Oil if you can get it from a fuel dealer in Georgia, its the same thing but cheaper.
Just wanted to offer up some pics of what I've been working on these last few weeks:
1) NOS Starter, the original one intermittently grinded against the fly wheel but might be salvageable as a spare. I just wanted to move on from that issue, lots on the plate left to do.
2) Coolant Heater...
Were the air pumps previously mentioned referring to pneumatic barrel pumps? Seems to me that'd be the way to go, 12GPM @ 10psi. Fill your tank or a 55gal drum in under 5 minutes. Just drop in a hose, no electrical connections to worry about.
Did some googling... there was a Motorola Gov't electronics division that operated a microwave antenna test range in your area, it included this tower in Tempe, AZ. Maybe the truck came from there.
On the dry ground I'd suggest getting a post-hole digger and make two holes as deep as you can go, then drop in a couple pipe columns (steel pipe filled with concrete) and use those as the anchor for the rear-wheel-winches. Note, thick rope or recovery straps may work instead of cable.
